1949年前商务印书馆英文出版探析

【摘要】：根据《商务印书馆图书目录(1897—1949)》一书所收录的英文书目,1949年前商务印书馆出版了714种英文图书,建立起从学习读物、大中小学教材、字典辞典到学术论著等全方位英文出版产业形态。英文出版不仅是构筑商务产业大厦的坚实基础,也是其推动英语学习热潮、多方面引入外国新知、自主传播中国文化、促进中西文化双向传播的有效媒介,对当今的中国出版走出去具有重要意义。
[Abstract]:According to the English bibliography of the Business Press Book Catalog (1897 / 1949), the Business Press published 714 English books before 1949, and established learning materials and textbooks for primary and secondary schools. Dictionaries to academic works and other omni-directional forms of the English publishing industry. English publishing is not only a solid foundation for the building of business industry, but also an effective medium for promoting the upsurge of English learning, introducing new knowledge from foreign countries, spreading Chinese culture independently and promoting the two-way communication of Chinese and western cultures. It is of great significance for today's Chinese publishing to go out.
