政府合作、市场整合与城市群经济绩效——基于长三角城市经济协调会的实证检验

【摘要】：城市群理论上能够通过群内城市之间的市场整合实现资源的优化配置,促进生产效率提升。本文以长三角城市经济协调会这一政府合作机制作为城市群形成的一项准自然实验,基于江苏、浙江和上海131个县市区1993—2010年的数据,运用倍差法检验其是否提高了城市群经济绩效。结果显示,加入长三角城市经济协调会可以使地区劳动生产率显著提高8.9%,且这种效应呈现出随时间逐渐增强的趋势。进一步,我们发现协调会能够显著降低地区间的市场分割。本文结论在相关的稳健性检验之后都仍然成立。
[Abstract]:In theory, the urban agglomeration can realize the optimal allocation of resources and promote the production efficiency through the market integration among the cities in the agglomeration. In this paper, the economic coordination mechanism of the Yangtze River Delta city is taken as a quasi-natural experiment of the formation of the urban agglomeration. Based on the data of 131 counties and cities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai from 1993 to 2010, the double difference method is used to test whether the performance of urban agglomeration has been improved. Joining the Yangtze River Delta Urban Economic Coordination Committee can significantly increase the labor productivity of the region by 8.9 percent, and this effect shows a trend of increasing gradually over time. We find that the coordination can significantly reduce the market segmentation between regions. The conclusion of this paper is still true after the relevant robustness test.
