哈佛大学中共研究的缘起与影响

【摘要】：以费正清为代表的哈佛大学中国学的核心研究对象是中国革命与中国共产党。费正清认为,不理解中国共产党与中国共产主义是美国对华政策接连失败的重要原因,是"失去中国"的根源。费正清希望美国政界、学界、社会公众真正理解中国共产党和中国共产主义运动。20世纪40年代中后期到50年代中期,他带领史华慈、布兰特、赵国钧等年轻学者在哈佛大学开创了系统的中共学,提出了有关中国共产党和中国共产主义的重要观点,积极主张承认新中国。费正清等人的中共研究产生了较大的学术和政治影响。哈佛大学成为比较共产主义研究和"国际中共学"研究的学术重镇。
[Abstract]:The core research object of Harvard University's Chinese studies, represented by John King Fairbank, is the Chinese Revolution and the Communist Party of China. John King Fairbank believes that the lack of understanding of the Communist Party of China and Chinese communism is an important reason for the successive failure of the United States policy towards China and the root cause of the "loss of China." John King Fairbank hopes that American politics, academic circles, and the public will truly understand the Communist Party of China and the Communist Movement of China. From the middle and late 1940s to the mid-1950s, he led young scholars such as Swartz, Brandt, and Zhao Guojun to create a systematic study of the Communist Party of China at Harvard University, put forward important viewpoints on the Communist Party of China and Chinese communism, and actively advocated the recognition of New China. John King Fairbank et al.'s study of the Communist Party of China has had a great academic and political impact. Harvard University has become an important academic center for comparative communist studies and international communist studies.
