社会科学哲学的突现整体主义——索耶的社会突现理论探析

【摘要】：对于方法论个体主义与方法论整体主义的经典论争,索耶提出社会突现的理论体系,在本体论个体一元主义的基础上强调社会性质的整体性,揭示社会突现具有不可还原、下向因果、非模拟不可预测、层次性等基本特征,构建了用突现概念诠释的整体主义理论体系。这种社会科学哲学的突现整体主义是对经典突现主义的继承与发展,突出了兼容与超越还原的特性。其不可还原和下向因果论证虽然面临国内外学者的批评,但核心思想依然成立。
[Abstract]:With regard to the classical controversy between methodological individualism and methodological holism, Sawyer puts forward the theoretical system of social emergence, which emphasizes the integrity of social nature on the basis of ontological individual monism, and reveals that social emergence is irreducible. Based on the basic characteristics of downwards causality, non-simulation and unpredictable, hierarchy, the author constructs a theory system of holism which is interpreted by emergent concepts. The emergent holism of social science philosophy is the inheritance and development of classical emergent doctrine, which highlights the characteristics of compatibility and transcendental restoration. Although its irreducible and downward causality argumentation faces criticism from domestic and foreign scholars, its core thought still holds.
