【摘要】：中美日双边、三边关系的研究，一直是国际关系研究的重要组成部分，也是近年来大国研究和地区研究中的一个热点问题。随着东亚国际和地区体系的变动，美国重返亚洲、中国和平崛起、日本向正常国家迈进的倾向日益明显，中美日三边联系更加紧密，三边互动关系更加复杂，三边关系的影响力不断提升。中美日三边关系对地区政治和安全的重要影响力，既取决于各自实力和地位的结构性变化，也取决于三边机制建设的形态与进程。由于中美日三边权力和实力的结构性变动和三边关系机制化的动向一直与地区结构和机制的变动紧密相连，因此，其影响更为直接，更为深远。 中美日三国都是世界性的大国，都是有着广泛利益和发挥着广泛作用的世界性大国。在东亚和东北亚地区，中美日是形成或发展为冷战时期的三角关系，还是发展为新时期的三边关系；是继续维持非对称性三边关系，还是形成中美日正三角关系；中美日关系是阻碍地区一体化的发展，还是成为地区共同体建设的基础保障等等，都是近年来各国政府和学术界关注和研究的重点课题。为此，本文从三边关系发展的时代背景和本质属性入手，分析了中美日三边关系的权力结构和运行机制，探讨了中美日三边协调和对话的可能性和局限性，由此揭示中美日三边依存关系的复杂性变化，也揭示出中美日三边之于地区体系的复杂影响，为思考未来东亚和地区战略格局的变化提供某种有益的尝试。 本文共分为五部分，主要通过在对中美日三边关系的概念界定的基础上，着重分析了中美日三边结构形态和运行机制，最后对中美日三边关系的未来前景和影响进行了探讨。具体地说，第一章，绪论.主要对中美日三边关系的研究状况、结构设计和研究方法做了总体概述。指出中美日三边关系研究的理论意义与现实意义,并对研究逻辑和思路进行了总括。第二章，冷战后三边关系的提出及其背景。主要对三边关系（包括三角关系）的概念界定进行基本考察。这部分主要运用文献研究法，在列举、分析目前为止中外学者对于三角关系、三边关系的概念理解基础上，提出自己对于三边关系界定的理解。第三章，中美日三边关系的总体结构。主要对中美日三边政治、经济、军事和文化各领域的实力结构进行了详细分析，指出中美日国力的总体结构变动和各个领域的基本结构的变化，突出强调了国家实力变化对于三者关系的影响。第四章中美日三边关系的运行机制。主要考察了中美日三边的运行机制，分析了中美日三边非对称结构对三边关系运行的主要影响，探讨了三边关系形态对地区问题和地区外问题的主要影响，突出了三国既相互依赖、相互支撑又相互冲突、相互矛盾的基本形态；第五章中美日三边关系的未来前景。主要对中美日三边关系的前景和中国如何建构中美日三边关系进行了具体的分析，，指出了中美日三边对话、三边协调的可能性和局限性，指出了中美日对国际和地区体系变动的深刻影响，探讨了日益和平崛起的中国应从国家利益和地区利益等多重视角客观、现实地建构中美日三边协调机制的问题。第六章，结论。主要对中美日三边关系总体发展趋势和影响进行了总结与概括。
