芭蕉箐苗族村嫁妆的价值关联与社会运作研究

【摘要】:嫁妆作为人类社会的调解与控制机制之一,有着多重社会和文化意义,通过筹办、派送、支配与使用,它将人与物、人与人、群体与群体联系起来,形成了利益和意义相互交织的共同体,并在其内部建构出有确定意义的资源边界。云南省芭蕉箐苗族村长期存在着嫁妆高于聘礼的现象,从当下该村嫁妆比聘礼多这个礼物不对称的特殊现象入手,对该村嫁妆与聘礼做具体调查,首先是逐户调查芭蕉箐村苗族嫁妆的情况,了解到当地嫁妆的历史变迁及当代状况;紧接着选择了在各个历史阶段具有典型的几家嫁妆作为个案,重点调查了当时嫁妆的数量、提供者及与出嫁女子与提供者之间的关系;同时调查娘家建房、丧礼、农忙等女儿需要负的责任;最后在各个方面的分析基础上,说明芭蕉箐苗族村嫁妆高于聘礼现象的形成,在于它们不仅以现实的贵重奠定了新家庭开展生产生活的实践基础,而且还以丰富的象征意涵强化了当地婚姻及个体家庭的超稳定性的可能。从而知道贵重嫁妆的动力并非是炫耀性或竞争性因素,而是长远指向创建新家庭与姻亲家庭之间多层次的、长期的、频繁的互惠网络。而其根本在于,在父系社会表象背后所深蕴的,当地姻亲关系在历史与现实中构建共同体并维系生产生活实践的核心作用。
[Abstract]:As one of the mechanisms of mediation and control in human society, dowry has many social and cultural meanings. It connects people and objects, people, groups and groups through preparation, distribution, domination and use. It forms an interwoven community of interests and meanings, and constructs a definite boundary of resources within it. There is a phenomenon that dowry is higher than bride price in Bajiaoqing Miao village of Yunnan province for a long time. Starting from the special phenomenon that the dowry is more than the bride price, this paper makes a specific investigation on the dowry and the bride price in this village. First of all, we investigated the situation of the Miao people's dowry in Bajiaoqing Village, and learned about the historical changes and contemporary conditions of the local dowry. Then, we selected several typical dowries in each historical stage as a case, focusing on the amount of the dowry at that time. The relationship between the provider and the married woman, the relationship between the provider and the provider; at the same time, an investigation was made on the responsibilities to be borne by the daughters of their mother's family, such as building houses, funeral ceremonies, and busy farming. Finally, on the basis of various aspects of analysis, the formation of the phenomenon that dowry was higher than the bride price in the Miao village of Bajiaoqing was explained. It lies in that they not only lay a practical foundation for the production and life of new families but also strengthen the possibility of super stability of local marriage and individual family with rich symbolism. Thus we know that the motive force of expensive dowry is not a conspicuous or competitive factor, but a long-term direction to create a multi-level, long-term and frequent reciprocal network between the new family and the in-laws. The root of it lies in the core role of local in-laws in constructing community and maintaining the practice of production and life in history and reality, which is deeply implied behind the appearance of patrilineal society.
