【摘要】:第一次世界大战爆发后,宣传在战争中的重要性日益凸显出来。尤其是在战争相持阶段,英德等国为了获得中立国家尤其是美国的同情和援助,纷纷展开舆论宣传,发起了猛烈的宣传攻势。其中在第一次世界大战的宣传战线上,英国的表现是最为成功的。论文主要从三个方面对英国在一战中的战争宣传进行探究,主要是对英国在第一次世界大战期间的战争宣传——战争宣传的缘起,一战中英国战争宣传的发展及其战争宣传的特点和影响等进行考察和研究。文章分为三部分:第一部分主要考察了一战期间英国发动战争宣传的缘起。一战爆发后,英国逐渐认识到战争宣传的重要性,加之其雄厚的经济实力,强大的外交影响力以及英国政府对战争宣传的支持,这就为英国进行战争宣传提供了有利的条件。第二部分也是全文的主体部分,主要探讨了一战中英国的战争宣传,系统考察了英国战时宣传机构的发展演变,以及各机构在国内、国外开展的一些列宣传活动。从查尔斯·马斯特曼及战时宣传局的建立、英国战时宣传机构的重组、国家战争目标委员会(NWAC)的建立到诺斯克里夫勋爵领导的对敌宣传司的建立,英国的战时宣传机构经过了长期的错综复杂的变化。并以“尸体工厂”的报道为例,通过对“尸体工厂”的由来以及英国关于“尸体工厂”虚假新闻报道的简介,论述了英国在一战中战争宣传的目的和手段。第三部分主要分析了第一次世界大战期间英国战争宣传的特点和影响。一战中英国发动的战争宣传形式多样、覆盖面广,并且通过隐蔽宣传动机在美国等中立国家进行宣传,对本国、美国、德国以及战后产生了深远的影响,对现代宣传起到了重要的借鉴意义。文章结束语部分系统总结了一战中英国战争宣传的运行机制及发展,重点强调在现代化社会中,宣传正在发挥着越来越重要的作用,我们要合理的运用各种宣传手段,建立一套协调系统的宣传机制,基于事实,面向民众进行有效的宣传,让民众得到更加客观真实的信息,从而使宣传更好的为人类服务。
