[Abstract]:After World War II, the world powers changed from cooperation to confrontation, and the atmosphere of the international cold war spread to East Asia. Although Britain belongs to the Western camp, it has spared no effort in easing the atmosphere of the international cold war and avoiding direct confrontation between the two sides. Britain was the main force to contain the World War and played an important role in postwar international relations. Taking Britain itself as the starting point, this paper examines the interaction between China, the United States and the Soviet Union, which is closely related to the Korean War at this time, and comprehensively analyzes the national factors in the whole Korean War process. In order to form a clear understanding of the role played by Britain in the Korean War. At the same time, it will follow the basic principles of historical materialism and dialectical materialism and follow the trend of historical development. By mastering the specific historical data, this paper comprehensively analyzes the various factors that influence Britain's conduct in the Korean War, and makes use of the relevant theories of international relations to further deepen the understanding. In June 1950, the outbreak of the Korean War made the confrontation between the two camps public in East Asia. Britain, although it had no economic or strategic interests in North Korea, was still forced to get involved in the dispute. The Korean War is a political war of dual significance. It is not only concerned about the actions of the adversaries, but more importantly, it is necessary to establish a world order that is beneficial to the interests of Britain. This paper is divided into six parts, including the introduction, four chapters of the body and the conclusion, the main content is as follows:. The introduction reviews the research status of this topic, and points out the purpose and significance of the research. The first chapter mainly introduces the British reaction at the beginning of the Korean War. Britain supports the United Nations resolution on the Korean issue, but it opposes US armed intervention in Taiwan and does not want to send army troops to the Korean battlefield. And actively explore a peaceful solution to the problem. In the second chapter, taking whether the United Nations Army crossed the 38th line, the paper discusses the British efforts to prevent the expansion of the war, including the active preparation of the non-military buffer zone plan and the efforts to curb the conflict between China and the United States. Chapter three illustrates Britain's efforts in this regard over the threat of the use of atomic weapons by the United States, as well as its coordination of the differences between the United States and the United States. Chapter 4th, mainly discusses the British actions in the whole process from the armistice negotiations on June 1951 to the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement on July 1953. From opening the door of armistice negotiations to advancing the peace talks until the resolution of the issue of prisoners of war, Britain has worked tirelessly for it. In conclusion, we draw the basic policy of Britain in the Korean War and the root of the policy. Although Britain played a positive role in the Korean War, But the decline in power has left Britain with only moderate, binding policies.
