【摘要】： 随着冷战终结、全球化进程的不断深入,国际移民愈加成为全球范围内一个值得关注的现象。墨西哥移民是美国最大的移民群体,作为国际移民的一个个案具有重要的学术与现实意义。本选题尝试在历史学实证研究基础上,借鉴社会学的统计和比较分析方法对美国的墨西哥移民做出全面系统的考察与梳理。作为一种历史现象,墨西哥人移民美国的历程开启于一个世纪之前,自20世纪70年代以来始终保持高涨态势。高度集中的区域分布是墨西哥移民的一大特性。从行业与职业模式看,作为一个群体,墨西哥移民多处在劳动力市场的“边缘”,其社会和经济地位整体上落后于本土人和其他移民群体。巨大的移民浪潮给美国社会带来了重大影响,波及到人口、经济、政治、文化与社会生活的诸多方面。对于美国而言,墨西哥移民是一把双刃剑,既为美国经济的发展做出了巨大贡献,同时也给美国社会带来了一定程度的挑战,体现在墨裔移民同化程度有限,同化进程相对缓慢。美国政府采取各种政策和策略控制墨西哥移民,然而都没有取得预期的效果,相反导致三个值得注意的悖论:合法化悖论、归化悖论和边境控制悖论。
[Abstract]:With the end of the Cold War and the deepening of globalization, international migration has become a global phenomenon of concern. Mexico is the largest group of immigrants in the United States. As a case of international migration, this topic is of great academic and practical significance. Using the statistical and comparative analysis methods of sociology for reference, this paper makes a comprehensive and systematic investigation and combing of the Mexican immigrants in the United States. As a historical phenomenon, the process of Mexicans emigrating to the United States began a century ago. Since 1970s, there has been an upsurge. A highly concentrated regional distribution is a major feature of Mexican immigrants. In terms of industry and career patterns, as a group, Many Mexican immigrants are on the edge of the labour market, and their social and economic status lags behind those of the natives and other immigrant groups as a whole. The huge wave of immigration has had a major impact on American society, affecting the population, economy, and politics. Many aspects of cultural and social life. For the United States, Mexican immigrants are a double-edged sword. They have not only made great contributions to the development of the American economy, but also brought a certain degree of challenge to American society. The assimilation of Mexican immigrants is limited and the assimilation process is relatively slow. The United States government has adopted various policies and strategies to control Mexican immigrants, but none of them has achieved the desired results. On the contrary, it has led to three notable paradoxes: legalization paradox. The paradox of domestication and border control.
