[Abstract]:Ancient Egyptians believed in polytheism. In ancient Egyptian mythology, different gods yG not only play a specific role, but also embody different functions. Among the ancient Egyptian gods, some goddesses held higher status and gained more love than others. For example: Nut, Hattor, Mut, Isis. In the past, people paid more attention to the goddess of Isis, but neglected the predecessor of the goddess of Isis, the goddess of Hatole, which was one of the most important and popular gods in ancient Egyptian history. Even the goddess Isis inherited more of the image and functions of the goddess of Hathor, even wearing her headgear. But the two goddesses are neither alike nor substituted for each other. Hatole is the goddess of love, joy, music, dance and beauty, and the patron saint of women, children, and childbirth. This paper discusses the spelling, symbols, images, legends and worship centers of Hatole in an attempt to fully demonstrate the historical significance of the worship of the goddess of Hatole and its research. First of all, this paper gives a brief introduction to the worship of Hatole. The purpose is to understand the origin, image, and function of Hatole worship. Second, show the collection and collation of legends, festivals, centers and priestesses. Finally, this paper will sum up the influence of Hatole worship. This paper expounds the significance of the study of Hatole to Wang Quan, female status and afterlife in ancient Egypt.
