基于中国交换生性格对其在交流项目中跨文化经历影响的研究

近年来,在全球化背景下,国际交流日益频繁,中国留学生的总体数量成倍增长,中国的短期留学人数也在迅速扩大。美国是中国学生选择最多的留学目的地,中国目前也是留美学生最大的输出国。在以前的文献中,很多研究这已经确定了一些能够影响跨文化接触的因素:比如说人的性格、传统文化背景、早期的出游和跨文化经历等。其中的一些研究结合了心理学中的性格理论,并将其应用到解决跨文化问题中来,研究性格和跨文化经历的联系。“大五人格”这一性格理论已经被应用到这一领域。一些研究展示了“大五人格”的几个性格特质会影响跨文化经历。但是这种影响是如何产生的?性格作用在跨文接触的过程是怎样的?这些尚未被量性研究回答的问题却具有重要意义。所以本文旨在回答这两个相关的研究问题:1.中国学生是如何定义跨文化接触的?2.在跨文化接触中,每一个性格特质又是怎样起作用的?为了更深入地了解性格在跨文化接触中的作用的过程,作者深度采访了两位参加了相同交流项目的中国交换生。利用半结构化的访谈结构,作者从这两位参与者身上收集到的质性数据将被作为两个案例在研究中被呈现出来。由于涉及到性格特质,两位参与者都在研究之前做了“大五人格测试”。得到的数据...
