【摘要】：正11世纪70年代,正值日本中止遣唐使后,严禁本国人海外渡航的岁月。然而,这阻挡不了日僧成寻(1011-1081)入宋巡礼天台山和五台山的强烈愿望,他毅然铤而走险,偷渡入宋。在实现了巡礼圣迹的宿愿后,他滞留宋地,再未归国,于元丰四年(1081)在汴京(今开封)开宝寺圆寂。他撰写的入宋旅行日记《参天台五台山记》(以下简称《参记》)是中日文化交流史上一部极其珍贵的史料,为11世纪东亚汉字文化圈人员往还、双向互动的历史,留下了无可取代的重要文献资源。
