晚清新教来华传教士的语文策略考评

【摘要】：晚清新教来华传教士的语文策略,是其基督教化中国的一部分,或者为其实现上述使命之先导工具。历史地看,其语文策略大体上经历了来华初期的语文适应策略以及之后的民族共同语文策略。前者基本上是与本土现有语文(包括精英阶层的语文以及底层普通民众的地域方言)达成"妥协",后者则是由传教士所主导并设计实践的一种更具有开创性与前瞻性的语文策略。新教来华传教士所发起推动的这场语文改良运动,与"五四"时期的语文改良运动之间,尽管存在着种种相似甚至某些关联,甚至亦可视作晚清以来语文改良运动中不同历史语境之下最有开创性与影响力的两波,但二者并没有直接的承续或效仿关系。
[Abstract]:The language strategy of the Protestant missionaries in the late Qing Dynasty was part of their Christianity in China, or a leading tool for them to fulfill the above-mentioned mission. Its language strategy has experienced the Chinese adaptation strategy in the early period of its coming to China and the common language strategy of the nation. The former is basically with the native language (including the elite language and the region of the ordinary people at the bottom). The latter is a more groundbreaking and forward-looking language strategy led by missionaries and designed for practice. Although there are some similarities and even some connections between the Chinese reform movement during the May 4th Movement, it can even be regarded as the most pioneering and influential two waves in the different historical contexts of the Chinese improvement movement since the late Qing Dynasty. But there is no direct continuation or imitating relationship between the two.
