19世纪英国报刊对中英鸦片贸易与战争的报道研究

【摘要】：在英国,很长时间以来,绝大多数英国人对19世纪中英之间的鸦片贸易和鸦片战争并没有那么深刻的历史体会。与此相反,在鸦片贸易盛行的那个时代,英国人对此有过各种各样的反应。本文选取了被称作“整个19世纪英国文明的标志”的《泰晤士报》作为考察对象,归纳该报支持与反对鸦片贸易的观点,揭示出英国主流媒体对这一历史事件的看法,进而对《泰晤士报》的这些报道观点成因进行分析,从而了解英国不同阶层、不同职业的人的想法；其次,文章选取英国宪章派(宪政派你确定宪章派)主办的报纸《北极星报》、《人民报》等,这些报纸的报道主要表达工人阶级的观点,以此认识工人阶级对鸦片贸易采取复杂态度的根源；最后,文章选取比较有特色的图文并茂式的报纸-(破折号短)《伦敦新闻画报》,将英国普通民众的畅所欲言报道出来,进一步考察大多数英国普通人对鸦片贸易的看法。通过阅读以上报纸有关鸦片贸易的报道,综合前人的研究和新发现的资料,以新闻报道为线索,由此不仅了解了当时英国国内的舆论状况,而且使我们对于因鸦片贸易引发的鸦片战争及其道德问题有了更加深刻的理解。舆论与人们对事件的看法紧密相关。报刊作为舆论的阵地之一,不仅是民众了解政府政策和评论国家大事的重要渠道,而且新闻稿为后人了解当年的历史提供了极其宝贵的历史资料。通过解读报纸的报道,我们可以清晰地认识到英国政府支持鸦片贸易、发动鸦片战争的历史真相。与此同时,我们必须客观地看待报刊舆论对政府政治决策的影响。通过舆论的力量,既可以反映出“大众”中的更多身份者的想法,避免由群体选择面的局限性所导致的不全面论述，也可以找寻到时代发展的轨迹。
[Abstract]:In Britain, for a long time, the vast majority of Britons did not have a profound historical understanding of the opium trade and the Opium War between China and Britain in the 19 th century.In contrast, in the era of the opium trade, the British had all sorts of reactions to it.This paper selects the Times, which is called the symbol of the whole 19th Century British Civilization, as the object of investigation, sums up its views on supporting and opposing the opium trade, and reveals the views of the British mainstream media on this historical event.And then analyze the causes of these reported views in the Times to understand the ideas of people of different classes and professions in Britain; secondly,The article selects the newspapers sponsored by the British Charter faction (constitutionalism), the Polaris, the people, and so on. The reports in these newspapers mainly express the views of the working class.In order to understand the root cause of the working class's complex attitude towards the opium trade; finally, the article selects a more characteristic picturesque newspaper, the London News Picture, to report the ordinary people in Britain freely.Take a closer look at the views of most ordinary people in Britain on the opium trade.By reading the above newspaper reports on the opium trade, synthesizing previous studies and newly discovered materials, taking news reports as clues, we not only understand the public opinion situation in Britain at that time,Moreover, we have a deeper understanding of the Opium War and its moral problems caused by the opium trade.Public opinion is closely related to people's views on events.As one of the positions of public opinion, newspapers and periodicals not only serve as an important channel for people to understand government policies and comment on state affairs, but also provide valuable historical information for future generations to understand the history of those years.By reading the newspaper reports, we can clearly understand the historical truth of the British government's support for the opium trade and the Opium War.At the same time, we must objectively view the influence of press and public opinion on the government's political decision.Through the power of public opinion, we can not only reflect the idea of more status people in "the masses", avoid the incomplete exposition caused by the limitation of group choice, but also find the track of the development of the times.
