王尔敏中国近代史治学取向探究

【摘要】：王尔敏(1927—),河南淮阳人,当代著名历史学家,台湾中国近代史研究的代表人物之一。毕业于台湾师范大学史地系,历任香港中文大学、台湾师范大学教授、台北中国近代史研究所研究员。一生著述丰厚,研究领域甚广,包括中国近代思想史、外交史、军事史、史学方法以及在文学上亦有建树。尤其在中国近代思想史方面投入心血最多,研究最透彻,取得的成就最大。此外,在史学方法的研究上也颇具自己独到的见解,其中三本专门探讨史学方法的著述更是王尔敏毕生之心得。本文主要探讨王尔敏中国近代史研究的治学取向,以期更好地学习和借鉴王尔敏中国近代史研究的方法和特色。王尔敏1950年开始学习研治历史,真正研究中国近代史则是1955年应郭廷以之招进入台湾“中央研究院”近代史研究所开始,郭廷以是其最重要的老师。王尔敏一生治学范围广泛,特色鲜明。他倡导单一概念为中心题旨的思想史研究,注重时代思想观念;特别关注非主流史学与史家研究,彰显南港学派的学术贡献;突出强调对中国传统史学的尊重与继承。王尔敏不仅继承了台湾南港学派的优良宗风,还在实践中倡导中国传统史学的治史方法。他对中国近代史研究成就较大,为学术作出了贡献,同时他的治学取向对后世研究具有重要的借鉴意义。
[Abstract]:Wang Ermin, from Huaiyang, Henan, is a famous contemporary historian and one of the representative figures in the study of modern Chinese history in Taiwan. He graduated from the Department of History and Geography of Taiwan normal University and served as a professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Taiwan normal University, and a researcher at the Institute of Modern Chinese History in Taipei. The history of modern Chinese thought, the history of diplomacy, the history of military affairs, the method of historiography, and the achievements in literature. Especially in the history of modern Chinese ideology, the most devoted effort, the most thorough research, the greatest achievements. In addition, he has his own unique views on the study of historical methods, including three books devoted to the study of historical methods, which are Wang Ermin's lifelong experiences. This paper mainly discusses Wang Ermin's research on Chinese modern history, in order to study and learn from Wang Ermin's research methods and characteristics of Chinese modern history. Wang Ermin began to study the history of governance in 1950, and the real study of modern history of China began in 1955 when Guo Ting entered the Institute of Modern History of Taiwan's "Academia Sinica" with Guo Ting as its most important teacher. Wang Ermin has a wide range of academic studies and distinctive characteristics. He advocated a single concept as the central theme of the study of the history of thought, paid attention to the ideas of the times; paid special attention to the study of non-mainstream historiography and historians to highlight the academic contribution of the Nangang School; stressed the respect and inheritance of the traditional Chinese historiography. Wang Ermin not only inherited the fine patriarchal style of the Nangang School of Taiwan, but also advocated the method of Chinese traditional historiography in practice. He has made great achievements in the research of Chinese modern history, and has made contributions to the academic research. At the same time, his academic orientation has important reference significance for the later research.
