1900-1920年中国社会挽救华茶的努力

【摘要】: 华茶贸易历史悠久,鸦片战争以后,华茶世界市场上的出口量更是扶摇直上,中国的茶叶国际贸易迎来了一个繁盛时期。到了19世纪中后期,随着印、锡等新兴产茶国的崛起,我国以小农经营为主导的传统茶业在与这些后起产茶国的竞争中逐渐败北,在世界茶叶市场中的份额日趋减少。华茶的衰落对当时的中国社会造成了极大的冲击。面对中国茶业急遽衰落的颓势,中国社会各阶层在清末民初采取了一系列挽救华茶的措施,这些挽救活动中既包括茶业观念层面的更新,又有茶叶生产的改进以及市场的开拓等诸多方面。虽然这些挽救活动在一定程度上推动了中国茶业的发展,但是由于受到动荡的社会环境、长期以来缺乏一个有效的资本积累机制以及缺乏一个强有力的中央政府的整合等因素,致使这些挽救活动没有能够从根本上扭转华茶衰落的命运。
[Abstract]:Chinese tea trade has a long history. After the Opium War, the export volume of Chinese tea in the world market has soared, and the international trade of Chinese tea has ushered in a prosperous period. By the middle and late 19th century, with the rise of new tea producing countries, such as India and tin, the traditional tea industry, which was dominated by small farmers, gradually lost in the competition with these tea producing countries, and its share in the world tea market was decreasing day by day. The decline of Chinese tea had a great impact on Chinese society at that time. In the face of the rapid decline of the tea industry in China, various strata of Chinese society took a series of measures to save Chinese tea in the late Qing and early Republic of China. These rescue activities included the renewal of the tea industry's concept. There are tea production improvement and market development and many other aspects. Although these rescue activities have promoted the development of China's tea industry to a certain extent, due to the turbulent social environment, the lack of an effective capital accumulation mechanism for a long time and the lack of a strong integration of the central government, etc. As a result, these rescue activities have not been able to fundamentally reverse the decline of the fate of Chinese tea.
