广州基督教青年会的“四育”活动和国难服务述评

【摘要】： 基督教青年会于19世纪中叶兴起于英国,19世纪末传入中国。解放前的中华基督教青年会,是中国青年中一个相当活跃而有影响的组织。它并不局限于宗教生活,而是积极关注各种社会问题。它以“非以役人,乃役于人”为会训,开展德、智、体、群四育,参与各种社会改革活动,服务于社会大众。广州基督教青年会,是中国最重要的城市青年会之一,其活动对广州乃至整个广东省都产生了相当的影响。然而,对该组织的研究,还没有引起学者的足够重视,相关论文非常少。本文考察了广州基督教青年会的起源和发展,介绍了其筹备、会所建设、会员情况、财政收支、人事组织等情况,使读者对广州基督教青年会有一个比较完整的认识。在此基础上,本文着重分析了广州基督教青年会在1945年以前所开展的德育、智育、体育、群育活动,探讨其四育活动所产生的社会影响。另外,本文还着重研究了广州基督教青年会在抗战期间的国难服务情况,主要考察了其抗战宣传、难民救济、军队服务的情况,探讨其对抗战所做出的贡献。最后,本文结合了当时中国社会的内外环境,将广州基督教青年会的活动放在中国历史的大环境中来考察,对其活动作了评价。
[Abstract]:The Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) was introduced into China in the middle of the 19 th century in England.The Chinese Young Men's Christian Association before liberation was a very active and influential organization among Chinese youth.It is not limited to religious life, but actively concerned with various social issues.It takes "non-servitude, but servitude" as training, develops moral, intellectual, physical and social education, participates in all kinds of social reform activities, and serves the public.Guangzhou YMCA is one of the most important urban YMCA in China.However, the research on the organization has not attracted enough attention of scholars, and the relevant papers are very few.This paper reviews the origin and development of YMCA in Guangzhou, introduces its preparation, club construction, membership, financial revenue and expenditure, personnel organization and so on, which makes readers have a relatively complete understanding of YMCA in Guangzhou.On this basis, this paper analyzes the moral education, intellectual education, sports and group education activities carried out by the Guangzhou YMCA before 1945, and probes into the social impact of the four activities.In addition, this paper also focuses on the Guangzhou YMCA's national crisis service during the Anti-Japanese War, mainly examines its anti-Japanese propaganda, refugee relief, military service, and discusses its contribution to the Anti-Japanese War.In the end, this paper combines the internal and external environment of Chinese society at that time, puts the activities of YMCA in the context of Chinese history, and evaluates the activities of YMCA.
