【摘要】：费子智(C.P.Fitzgerald,1902—1992)是澳大利亚汉学研究史上非常重要的人物之一,他一生致力于中国研究,不仅出版发表了很多优秀的作品,而且还活跃在政界、新闻界,尽力帮助澳洲及西方大众认识、了解中国,对澳大利亚早期汉学研究做出了极大贡献。通过研读他的作品,读者可以从一个西方学者的视角重新审视中国历史、中国文化。他的作品不仅能帮助西方人更好地了解中国,也能帮助中国人重新审视自身的历史文化。
