【摘要】:正中国古籍中本没有"博物馆"这一名词,有的只是博物"两字,大意就是见多识广,博识多知。博物馆(museum)一词,源自希腊语的"mou-seion",原义是指供奉掌管艺术、科学的9位缪斯(Muse)女神的神庙。而西方现代意义上的博物馆,则出现于17世纪,以英国牛津市中心博蒙特街上的阿什莫林博物馆的诞生

The word "museum (museum)", derived from the Greek word "mou-seion," refers to the temple of the nine muses of (Muse), who control art and science. And the modern western museum, which appeared in the 17th century, was born by the Ashmolin Museum on Beaumont Street in the heart of Oxford, England.
