【摘要】：目前很多学者在研究明末佛教之时,都以为憨山德清与雪浪洪恩的授业恩师"无极和尚",即为憨山所作《住京都吉祥院无极信禅师道行法原碑记》中的无极明信禅师,却忽略了憨山亦尊称其师为"守愚大和尚"、"守愚先师"这一细节。清代弘方法师所作《贤首宗乘》一书,较为详细地记载了华严宗雪浪洪恩一系的法脉传承,其中明确记载憨山与雪浪之师为"第二十五世无极悟勤法师",守愚为其字。凭借这一新材料,并结合其他相关材料,对憨山与雪浪之师"无极和尚"作以考辨。
