From the perspective of the manipulation of domestic politics by the great nobles such as Sui, this paper analyzes that the essence of the phenomenon of Buddhism worship and rejection in the early days of Buddhism in Japan is the power struggle between the great nobles. In addition, through the investigation of the role of the Faxing Temple and the analysis of the process of the Japanese Emperor's attitude towards Buddhism, It is known that Sui's worship of Buddhism objectively promoted the worship and support of Buddhism in the upper class. From the cultural point of view, the strong radiation of ancient Chinese culture promoted the development of Japanese society and culture. According to the principle of unbalanced cultural spread, Buddhism is an inevitable trend in Japan. At the same time, it was impossible for Japan to learn the advanced Sui and Tang culture without being exposed to Buddhism. Of course, we should not ignore the contribution of the special group. In addition, through comparative analysis, we find that there are some similarities in form and thought between Japanese Shinto and Buddhism. From the formal point of view, the faith of the Stone Buddha is based on the ancient animism of all things. People's understanding of nuns is also based on the recognition of witches in the Shinto. Ideologically, people regard Buddha as a god of other countries who is essentially the same as the god of his own country. In addition, in Japan, the Buddha was originally used to seek blessings and avoid disasters. That is, with the same function as the national gods, completely divorced from the meaning of Buddhism. Of course, the realistic national character of the Japanese is also the important reason for the rapid acceptance of Buddhism among the people.
