中美高校URL引用网络结构特征对比研究

【摘要】：至2012年初终止,全球排名靠前的商业搜索引擎都不再提供高级的链接查询服务。这导致链接数据源匮乏,严重阻碍了利用链接分析进行的各项研究的发展。在此背景下,本文在前人研究的基础上,将URL引用数据作为链接数据的一种替代进行高校网络结构的研究。通过对高校URL引用网络连接特征结构的研究,证明URL引用分析方法可用于分析高校之间关系。同时,通过对高校URL引用网络连接结构的分析,挖掘隐藏在URL引用关系背后的信息。并通过中美对比,发现高校发展的一些特征。探索研究高校URL引用网络结构对URL引用分析方法及我国大学的进一步发展都具有十分重要的理论与实践价值。国内外对于机构网络结构的分析多采用链接分析的方法,虽然对URL引用分析进行了一定的研究并取得了一定的成就,但目前对URL引用的研究多集中于其是否能作为链接分析的替代,并不深入,比较浅显。在研究对象方面,多集中于对商业机构竞争态势的研究,而且多是单一环境下、单一网域的研究,缺乏对比性。所以本文在结合已有研究的理论基础上,选取高校这一科研机构为对象,对URL引用网络结构进行全面系统的研究,根据不同环境、不同网域,研究分为包括:中国高校URL共现网络结构研究、中国高校URL互引网络结构研究、美国高校URL共现网络结构研究、美国高校URL互引网络结构研究。其主要内容如以下章节所述:第一章,介绍本文的研究背景、意义及研究现状,并阐述了本文的研究内容与方法;第二章,介绍网络计量学以及URL引用的相关理论(如链接分析,URL引用分析的概念、研究的分析工具和方法等);第三、四章,分别对我国985高校网站及美国四十所高水平大学网站进行了实证研究,在整体网域和高校内部网域二个网域下探究中美两个环境下的高校网站的URL引用网络的结构特征,明确了高校之间URL引用是有意义的,分析了高校在URL共现及互引网络中各体现出哪种显著关系,并挖掘出隐藏在URL引用关系背后的信息;第五章,对比中美高校网站URL引用网络结构的异同,分析中美不同环境下,URL共现及互引网络的差异。并结合中美高校实际发展情况,探究中美高校及其网站的的差别,发现我国高校发展的不足,并给出发展策略并对未来的发展做出展望。第六章,总结全文及研究中存在的不足及URL引用分析的局限性。本文详细介绍了中美高校URL引用数据的收集、数据的统计处理以及分析过程,利用社会网络指标对中美高校网络空间URL连接特征做了全面而系统的描述与论证,并进行了可视化的展示。验证了URL引用分析方法可用于分析高校之间关系,并通过对高校URL网络结构的分析发现我国大学发展的不足,并为我国教育事业的发展提出建议。
[Abstract]:By the beginning of 2012, the world's top commercial search engines no longer offer advanced linked search services. This leads to a lack of linked data sources and seriously hinders the development of research using link analysis. In this context, based on the previous studies, the URL reference data is used as an alternative to the linked data to study the network structure of colleges and universities. By studying the characteristic structure of university URL reference network connection, it is proved that URL reference analysis method can be used to analyze the relationship between colleges and universities. At the same time, through the analysis of the network connection structure of university URL reference, the information hidden behind the URL reference relationship is mined. And through the comparison between China and the United States, we find some characteristics of the development of colleges and universities. It is of great theoretical and practical value to explore and study the URL reference network structure for the analysis method of URL reference and the further development of universities in China. The method of link analysis is used in the analysis of the network structure of institutions at home and abroad, although the URL reference analysis has been studied and has made some achievements. However, the current research on URL reference is mainly focused on whether it can be used as an alternative to link analysis. In the aspect of research object, most of them are focused on the competition situation of commercial organizations, and most of them are lack of contrast in single domain and single environment. So this paper, on the basis of the existing research theory, selects this research institution as the object, carries on the comprehensive and systematic research to the URL citation network structure, according to the different environment, the different domain, The research includes: the research of Chinese university URL co-occurrence network structure, the Chinese university URL co-citation network structure research, the American university URL co-occurrence network structure research, the American university URL mutual citation network structure research. The main contents are described in the following chapters: the first chapter introduces the research background, significance and status quo of this paper, and describes the research content and methods of this paper. This paper introduces the related theories of network metrology and URL reference (such as the concept of link analysis and URL reference analysis, the analytical tools and methods studied, etc.) This paper makes an empirical study on the 985 university websites in China and 40 high-level university websites in the United States. Under the two domains of the whole network and the internal network of colleges and universities, this paper explores the structural characteristics of the URL citation network of the university websites in the two environments of China and the United States. This paper clarifies the significance of URL reference between colleges and universities, analyzes which significant relationship each university embodies in the URL co-occurrence and mutual citation network, and excavates the information hidden behind the URL reference relationship. This paper compares the similarities and differences between Chinese and American university website URL citation network structure, and analyzes the differences of URL co-occurrence and mutual citation network in different environments between China and the United States. Combined with the actual development of colleges and universities in China and the United States, this paper probes into the differences between Chinese and American universities and their websites, finds out the deficiencies of the development of Chinese universities, and gives the development strategies and prospects for the future development. The sixth chapter summarizes the limitations of URL reference analysis. This paper introduces in detail the collection, statistical processing and analysis process of URL citation data in colleges and universities in China and America, and makes a comprehensive and systematic description and demonstration of the characteristics of URL connection in cyberspace between Chinese and American universities by using social network index. Visual display is also carried out. This paper verifies that URL citation analysis method can be used to analyze the relationship between colleges and universities, and through the analysis of university URL network structure, finds out the deficiency of university development in our country, and puts forward some suggestions for the development of education in our country.
