《医学期刊工作》是一本实用的好教材

【摘要】：正13年前,美国纽约州立大学图书馆馆长黄仲凯教授在南京全国医学图书馆管理训练班上就提出了,由于近几十年来科学技术的飞速发展,导致科技文献急剧增长,作为知识载体的期刊成为掌握医学信息的主要情报源。因此医学图书馆馆藏质量不再以藏书量多少而根据专业期刊订阅质和量来判断,这是一个观念的转变。图书馆既订阅了大量期刊,一系列的管理工作必须井然有序,从选订、收到、陈列、排架、装订、编目、分类、流通都应按科学管理的程序进行。一名医学信息学专业毕业的学生进入图书馆工作,面对大量期刊如何操作,这就需要学习传统的及现代化的期刊管理技术及方法。因此医学信息学专业讲授“医学期刊工作”这门课程就很有必要。熊第志教授为适应教学需要,主编这本《医学期刊工作》（东北大学出版社,1995年版,高等医学院校试用教材）就显得非常必要和及时。与已经出版的一些专著及教材比较,我认为有以下几个特点: （1）本书总结了现代医学期刊管理的理论、技术与实践的成果。（2）突出了生物医学期刊的特性多于共性,适应医学图书馆的需要。（3）对期刊的历史简略叙述,着重点放在出版现状及趋势。
[Abstract]:Just 13 years ago, Professor Huang Zhongkai, librarian of the State University of New York, proposed at the Nanjing National Medical Library Management training course that the rapid development of science and technology in recent decades has led to the rapid growth of scientific and technological literature. As a carrier of knowledge, periodicals have become the main source of information to master medical information. Therefore, the quality of medical library collections is no longer judged by the quantity and quantity of specialized periodical subscriptions, which is a change of concept. Since the library has subscribed to a large number of periodicals, a series of management work must be orderly, from the selection, receipt, display, arrangement, binding, cataloguing, classification, circulation should be carried out according to the scientific management procedures. A student majoring in medical informatics has entered library work. In the face of how to operate a large number of periodicals, it is necessary to learn traditional and modern periodical management techniques and methods. Therefore, it is necessary for medical informatics major to teach the course of Medical Journal work. In order to meet the needs of teaching, it is necessary and timely for Professor Xiong Di Zhi to edit this work of Medical Journal (Northeast University Press, 1995, trial teaching materials in medical colleges). Compared with some monographs and textbooks that have been published, I think it has the following characteristics: (1) this book summarizes the theory, technology and practice of the management of modern medical journals. (2) it highlights the characteristics of biomedical journals more than the common ones. To meet the needs of the medical library. (3) brief description of the history of the journal, with emphasis on the current situation and trend of publication.
