电影《面子》中的中美文化价值观维度分析

　　不同文化之间的差异会通过许多方式呈现出来,电影是最直观的表现形式之一。一些学者对于表现跨文化交际的电影中的文化价值观维度进行过分析。在电影《面子》中也体现出了显著的中美文化之间的差异,目前还没有关于该电影文化价值观维度方面的研究。所以本文的目的是运用Hofstede的文化价值观维度理论分析电影《面子》中体现出的中美在四个文化价值观维度方面的差别。本文通过将电影中的情节与Hofstede的文化价值观维度理论进行对比,发现在《面子》电影中,中国是属于高权利距离,高不确定性因素规避,集体主义,男性主义倾向。美国是属于低权力距离,低不确定性因素规避,个体主义,女性主义倾向。在不确定性因素规避和男性主义倾向/女性主义倾向这两个维度上,电影中的情节是与Hofstede的理论研究结果不完全相符的。在通过对四个文化价值观维度方面的对比分析之后,本文进一步从历史,地理与哲学/宗教这几个方面研究了导致电影里中美在文化价值观维度上所表现出的差异的根源。
