叙事学理论视角下纪录片中的中国国家形象建构研究

近年来,随着中国崛起,一批外国学者从“他者”视角开始研究中国。一般来说,“他者”视角塑造了两种不同的“中国形象”:一种是负面形象,“妖魔化”的中国;另一个是夸张的正面形象,“理想化”的中国。同样,在中国,中国国家形象研究已成为传播学和语言学领域等学科的热门研究课题。中国学者逐渐深入研究中国国家形象宣传片和中国题材的纪录片并且大多数的研究都是从多模态和传播学的角度对电影和纪录片进行分析。然而,从其他视角对纪录片中的中国国家形象构建研究相对较少。与21世纪以来不同国家涉华纪录片的代表作品相比较,由美国探索频道出品的电视纪录片《China:Time of Xi(习近平治国方略:中国这五年)》,真实客观地展现了中国国家形象,它为我们提供了叙述故事的新叙事视角和风格,值得中国纪录片在自塑国家形象时借鉴。因此,这部具代表性的纪录片具有重要的研究价值。本文将从国家形象塑造的角度出发,以叙事学理论作为框架对电视纪录片China:Time of Xi的三集视频字幕文本和图像进行分析,以叙事学家热拉尔·热奈特和米克·巴尔为代表的叙事学理论为依据并结合国内学者的研究,主要从纪录片的叙事者和叙事视角、叙事结构...
