明代书坊刊印通俗小说研究

【摘要】: 中国古代印刷业分为官刻、家刻和坊刻三大系统。由于与市场有着直接的联系,坊刻无论在内容上还是在形式上都比官刻和家刻更为灵活,更富有生机。历代坊刻本中刊印最多的是科举应试、生活日用和通俗文艺三大类书籍,就其历史文化作用而言,其中最有价值的是小说、戏曲等通俗文学作品。书坊大量刊行通俗小说是从明代开始的,这也是中国古代通俗小说走向成熟与繁荣的时代。明代书坊对通俗小说的刊印无论是对于印刷业的发展还是通俗小说的发展,都有着重要的影响,但目前学术界还未有对于此问题的详细论述。本文力图将明代书坊对通俗小说的刊印进行纵向的勾勒,以期完整地呈现出它的历史面貌,并阐述它的意义和影响。 全文分为引言、正文和结语三部分。引言部分阐述论文选题的缘起。正文部分分为三个层次: (一)明代书坊刊印通俗小说的历程。嘉靖朝以前,坊刻通俗小说几可看作一片空白;嘉靖至万历年间,书坊发现了刊印通俗小说的新大陆,纷纷加入了刊印的行列,并出现了书坊主主宰通俗小说创作的奇特现象;明代末期,书坊刊印通俗小说进入繁荣阶段。 (二)明代书坊在通俗小说刊印形式上的探索。书坊在激烈的市场竞争中为了获取更多的利润,在小说刊印形式上作了种种努力和探索,如登载广告、设计插图、评点注释、改变格式等,扩大了通俗小说的影响,对印刷业的发展也有着重要的意义。 (三)明代书坊刊印通俗小说的历史贡献。明代的书坊是古代版画艺术的继承和发扬光大者,通俗小说的大量刊印为版画艺术的发展提供了一个广阔的天地。为了扩大通俗小说的销路,书坊主们不遗余力的在书籍插图上下功夫,众多精美古雅的坊刻插图本通俗小说与社会文艺思潮互动,推动古代版画艺术进入巅峰状态,在中国版画史上、文化传播史上写下了极其精彩的一笔。在嘉靖至万历时期,书坊主编撰的通俗小说虽然本身思想、艺术价值不高,但对于通俗小说从起步到逐渐走向繁荣起到了积极的推动作用。 结语阐明了古代书坊对通俗小说的保存和传播作出的贡献。
[Abstract]:The printing industry in ancient China was divided into three systems: official carvings, home carvings and Fang carvings. Because of its direct connection with the market, Fang carving is more flexible and dynamic in content and form than official carving and home engraving. The three kinds of books, such as imperial examination, daily use and popular literature and art, have been published most frequently in the history and culture of the past dynasties, among which the most valuable ones are novels, dramas and other popular literature works. Shufang published a lot of popular novels from the Ming Dynasty, which is also the mature and prosperous era of ancient Chinese popular novels. The publishing of popular novels in Ming Dynasty has an important influence on the development of printing industry and popular novels, but there is no detailed discussion on this issue in academic circles at present. This paper tries to make a vertical outline of the publication of popular novels in the book shops of the Ming Dynasty in order to show its historical appearance and explain its significance and influence. The full text is divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction explains the origin of the topic. The text is divided into three levels: (1) the process of publishing popular novels in Ming Dynasty. Before the Jiajing Dynasty, the popular novels carved by the Fang could be regarded as a blank. During the period from Jiajing to Wanli, the book shop discovered the new world of publishing popular novels, joined the ranks of publishing, and appeared the strange phenomenon that the owners of the book shops dominated the creation of popular novels. In the late Ming Dynasty, the book shop published popular novels into a prosperous stage. (2) the exploration of the publishing form of the popular novels in the book shops in the Ming Dynasty. In order to gain more profits in the fierce market competition, the bookshop has made various efforts and explorations in the form of publishing novels, such as publishing advertisements, designing illustrations, commenting notes, changing formats, and so on, which has expanded the influence of popular novels. It is also of great significance to the development of the printing industry. (3) the historical contribution of the book shops in the Ming Dynasty to the publication of popular novels. The book shop of Ming Dynasty is the inheritance and development of ancient printmaking art, and the mass printing of popular novels provides a wide field for the development of printmaking art. In order to expand the popularity of popular novels, book owners spared no effort in book illustrations, and numerous exquisite and elegant illustrations of the workshops interacted with social literary and artistic trends, pushing ancient printmaking art to its peak. In the history of Chinese prints, the history of cultural communication has written an extremely wonderful stroke. During the period from Jiajing to Wanli, although the popular novels compiled by the book workshop had not high artistic value, they played a positive role in promoting the popular novels from the beginning to the prosperity. The conclusion illustrates the contribution of ancient bookshops to the preservation and dissemination of popular novels.
