【摘要】：谚语简洁生动，内蕴丰富，富有哲理，因此常年来被人们所喜爱。谚语不仅仅是人类智慧的结晶，还是国家文化遗产。 动物词汇因它形象生动的表达，丰富多样的文化含义而倍受人们喜爱。维吾尔语是中国新疆维吾尔自治区的官方语言，在民间及官方大量使用，包括印刷、广播电视等。 本文旨在研究维吾尔语和英语谚语中动物词汇的文化含义，通过对收集谚语中的动物词汇进行对比研究，探讨维吾尔语和英语谚语中使用动物词汇的概况、动物词汇文化涵义及其异同，以及导致其异同的原因。 此研究意义深远。可填充英语维吾尔语对比研究，可应用于英语维吾尔语教学，可以拓宽教师学生在英语维吾尔语谚语及动物词汇的认识，可以作为英语维吾尔语谚语翻译或者动物词汇翻译的参考，并帮助英维二语习得者避免跨文化交流中的误解。
