顺应论及其对委婉语中“不合作”现象的跨文化解释

【摘要】：委婉语是一种与社会文化和社会心理等因素紧密联系的语言现象,在各种语言中都有不同的表现,通过跨文化对比分析委婉语能够体现出不同民族之间的文化差异,有助于减少跨文化交际中的语用失误。由于委婉语强大的社会功能,中西方学者已经从语义学,修辞学和社会心理学等角度对其进行了系统的研究,其研究大多集中在委婉语的定义,分类,构成手段,社会功能等方面,但从语用学的角度对其的研究成果还不是很多。随着语用学的发展成熟,越来越多的语言学家将委婉语从本属于语义学中词义变化的范畴归属到语用学中人际交往的范畴。因为语言使用者在言语交际中为了满足特定的交际目的而选择相应的语言形式和语言策略,从而让委婉语以其婉转,动听,得体等特点成为语言使用者用以调剂人际关系首选的语言策略。作为语用学研究的另一个重要内容,合作原则为言语交际提供了有效的指导。委婉语作为一种常见的语言现象,理应遵守合作原则,但在特定的语境下,却故意违背以达到某种交际目的。这种委婉语的“不合作”现象在语用学领域众说纷纭。遗憾的是,诸多的研究大多以静态的语境观加以分析,极少关注在跨文化语境下委婉语的使用动机,也未能正确解读“不合作”现象背后的文化因素。顺应理论的提出正好弥补了语言现象静态研究的不足之处,从认知,社会和文化整体出发,以全新的语用综观视角来研究语言现象的选择和顺应的动态过程。故本文以顺应论为理论框架,以交际语境为视角,跨文化对比分析研究了委婉语“不合作”现象下的深层次动机,揭示了在跨文化语境下委婉语的“不合作”现象是动态地顺应语言使用者及其社交世界,心理世界和物理世界等交际语境因素的选择结果。研究表明,顺应理论对跨文化交际中英汉委婉语“不合作”现象的成功解读有助于展示委婉语的民族文化特色,提高跨文化交际能力,从而减少跨文化交际失误。
[Abstract]:Euphemism is a linguistic phenomenon and social cultural and social psychological factors are closely linked, have different performance in different languages, through cross-cultural contrastive analysis of euphemism can reflect the cultural differences between different ethnic groups, helps to reduce cross-cultural communication pragmatic failures. Because euphemism is strong the social function, western scholars have from semantics, rhetoric and social psychology perspective for the research on the definition, the research focused on the classification of euphemism, which means social function, but from the perspective of pragmatics research on it is not many.
With the development of pragmatics, more and more linguists of euphemism from the category belongs to the semantic pragmatic category of interpersonal communication. Because of the language users in verbal communication in order to meet the specific communicative purposes and select the appropriate language form and language strategies, so that the euphemism to the melody that sounds, such characteristics as appropriate by language users to adjust the interpersonal relationship the first language strategy. As another important topic in pragmatics, cooperative principle provides effective guidance for verbal communication. Euphemism is a common language phenomenon, should abide by the principles of cooperation, but in the specific context. But deliberately contrary to achieve a certain communicative purpose. The euphemism "non cooperation" phenomenon in the field of pragmatics Public opinions are divergent.. Unfortunately, many studies are based on static language The view of the border is analyzed with little attention to the motivation of the use of euphemism in the cross-cultural context and the failure to correctly interpret the cultural factors behind the "non cooperation" phenomenon.
The adaptation theory proposed just to make up the inadequacy of language phenomenon of static study from cognitive, social and cultural of the whole dynamic process with a new pragmatic perspective to study linguistic choice and adaptation. So this paper takes the adaptation theory to communicative context from the perspective of cross-cultural comparative analysis of euphemism the phrase "non cooperation" deep motivation of the phenomenon, revealed in the cross-cultural context of the euphemism "cooperation" phenomenon is a dynamic adaptation of language users and their social world, the mental world and the physical world and other contextual factors. Research shows that the successful interpretation of the theory of adaptation in intercultural communication between English and Chinese euphemism the phrase "non cooperation" phenomenon will help to show the national and cultural features of euphemism, improve cross-cultural communicative competence and intercultural communication so as to reduce the errors.
