英汉叙述性散文中主位推进模式的对比研究

【摘要】:任何一种语言的语篇中,每个句子都可以划分为主位、述位。人们常从主述位结构角度来对句子进行分析。语篇中前后句子的主位和述位之间会发生某种联系和变化,从而具有语篇组织功能。而且主位推进的模式结构和语篇的体裁相关。主位推进,主位与述位的关系已成为语篇分析的主要手段。不同的推进模式会更好的帮助我们理解语篇信息发展的逻辑和连贯顺序。随着主述位理论在国内外的发展,英汉语篇的对比研究也引起很多中国学者的兴趣。近几年,关于这两种语言的对比研究有很多。但涉及散文语篇的并不多。本论文就英汉叙述性散文主位分布和主位推进的配置模式进行了对比研究。 本文所采用的语料选自散文佳作108篇,由20篇英文叙述性散文和20篇汉语叙述性散文组成,通过对语料的定性与定量分析,作者确定了英汉语料中均包括了本文所总结的六种主位推进模式,并探究二者在主位分布和主位推进的配置模式的异同点。在此研究的基础上,论文证明了提出了译文的主位分布应该与尽量与它的译入语保持一致,掌握一定的主位结构知识对翻译非常有帮助。对于主位推进的对比研究有助于读者更好地理解叙述性散文传递的信息,从而证明主位推进的配置模式可以决定文本的体裁。 本文由五部分组成 第一章介绍论文的研究背景。同时说明了本研究的意义和论文的框架结构。 第二章列出详细说明了主位推进的一些相关概念,比如,主位、述位、新信息、已知信息等.此外,本章回顾中外学者对主位推进模式的研究。在他们研究的基础上,作者提出六种主位推进模式。最后,讨论了主位推进对于中英文对比研究的意义。 在第三章中,作者提出了自己的研究设计,包括研究方法、研究问题和研究步骤。 第四章是本文的核心部分,对所选的叙述性散文语篇进行了分析。40篇英汉叙述性散文语篇选取自《散文佳作108篇》。对这些语料的分析旨在找出英汉叙述性散文语篇主位推进模式的异同。分析建立在前面提出的六种主位推进模式框架的基础上。作者还对英汉语叙事性散文语篇主述位推进模式的异同进行解释。结果表明,英汉语叙述性散文语篇主位推进的相似之处是平行型,延续性,集中型模式使用频率最高。同时,在英汉叙述性散文中无标记性主位要明显多于有标记行主位。 第五章是结论,对全文进行了概括,进一步明确了本研究的理论价值和实际意义,同时认为本研究还有许多不足之处,并对未来的研究提出了一些建议。 尽管本文存在一些局限性,研究的结果可能对英汉叙述性散文的写作与翻译的对比研究有所帮助。作者希望本文能起到抛砖引玉的作用,对其它文体方面的研究有借鉴的意义。
[Abstract]:In any language, each sentence can be divided into theme and rheme. People often analyze sentences from the perspective of them-rheme structure. Therefore, it has the function of text organization, and the pattern structure of thematic progression is related to the genre of discourse. The relationship between theme and rheme has become the main means of discourse analysis. Different advancing models will help us better understand the logic and coherent sequence of discourse information development. The contrastive study of English and Chinese texts has also aroused the interest of many Chinese scholars. There are many contrastive studies on these two languages, but there are not many prose discourses. This thesis makes a comparative study of thematic distribution and thematic progression in English and Chinese narrative prose. The corpus selected in this paper consists of 20 English narrative prose and 20 Chinese narrative prose, which are selected from 108 excellent prose works. The qualitative and quantitative analysis of the corpus is made up of 20 English narrative prose and 20 Chinese narrative prose. The author identifies six thematic progression models summarized in this paper, and explores the similarities and differences between them in thematic distribution and thematic progression. It is proved that the thematic distribution of the target text should be consistent with its target language as far as possible. Mastering a certain knowledge of thematic structure is very helpful for translation. A comparative study of thematic progression helps readers to better understand the information conveyed in narrative prose, thus proving that the configuration mode of thematic progression can determine the genre of the text. This paper consists of five parts. The first chapter introduces the background of the thesis, and explains the significance of the study and the framework of the paper. The second chapter lists some related concepts of thematic progression, such as theme, rheme, new information, known information, etc. In addition, this chapter reviews the researches of Chinese and foreign scholars on thematic progression model. The author proposes six thematic progression models. Finally, the significance of thematic progression to the contrastive study of Chinese and English is discussed. In the third chapter, the author puts forward his own research design, including research methods, research problems and research steps. The fourth chapter is the core part of this paper. This paper analyzes the selected narrative prose discourses. 40 articles of English and Chinese narrative prose texts are selected from 108 essays. The purpose of this analysis is to find out the similarities and differences of thematic progression patterns between English and Chinese narrative prose texts. The author also explains the similarities and differences of the topic-rheme progression patterns in narrative prose in English and Chinese. The similarities of thematic progression in narrative prose in English and Chinese are parallelism, continuity, and the highest frequency of use of centralized patterns. At the same time, unmarked themes are more frequently used in English and Chinese narrative prose than marked line themes. The fifth chapter is the conclusion, summarizes the full text, further clarifies the theoretical value and the practical significance of this study, at the same time thinks that this research has many shortcomings, and puts forward some suggestions for the future research. Although there are some limitations in this paper, the results of the study may be helpful to the contrastive study of the writing and translation of English and Chinese narrative prose. For other stylistic aspects of the study has reference significance.
