“长短”的语法化——兼谈语义跨度的语法化现象

【摘要】：本文首先从历史的角度考察了"长短",认为现代汉语中表示"无论如何"的副词"长短"是由表示"距离大或小"的短语"长短"语法化而来的。其次,运用语义跨度这一方法分析语法化,认为已经语法化了的短语、复合词或正在语法化的短语、复合词,都会在深层次的语义上有所反映。随着语法化程度的加深,短语或复合词构成成分之间的语义跨度越来越大,语义关系越来越曲折,因而,语言单位的构造理据也越来越模糊,直至无法解释。
[Abstract]:This paper first examines "long and short" from a historical point of view, and holds that the adverb "long or short" in modern Chinese is grammaticalized by the phrase "long or short" which means "long or small".Secondly, the method of semantic span is used to analyze grammaticalization. It is believed that the grammaticalized phrases, the compound words or the phrases in the process of grammaticalization will be reflected in the deep level of semantics.With the deepening of grammaticalization, the semantic span between the constituent components of phrases or compound words becomes larger and larger, and the semantic relationship becomes more and more tortuous. Therefore, the construction motivation of language units becomes more and more vague until it can not be explained.
