有声思维法在翻译过程中的实证研究

【摘要】：本文针对元认知策略各个方面对翻译结果产生的影响以及翻译过程中翻译单位的选择进行了研究。翻译是一种比较特殊的认知活动，其内部过程可以通过受试者的口头报告得以显现。因此，本文采用有声思维报告法来探讨翻译的内在过程。本文对有声思维报告法的定义、发展以及影响翻译的因素进行了详细论述。本篇论文用有声思维法的方法记录了10名学生英语翻译的过程，整个过程进行录音并用文字记录。其目的在于分析不同水平的英语翻译者对翻译策略、翻译单位的选择，试图找出他们之间的一些关联性。最后，对收集上来的有效材料，，通过问卷调查和访谈相结合的方法，对数据进行了全面和系统的分析。通过对实证数据的定量和定性分析，本研究得出以下结论：（1)在整个翻译过程中，高水平受试者和低水平受试者在元认知策略方面，在元认知的监控和管理上，两个翻译者之间没有明显的不同；而在元认知的计划和管理上，高水平受试者比低水平受试者表现出更灵活的总体规划和更广泛的认知策略的应用。(2)高水平受试者用的翻译单位较大，而低水平受试者使用的翻译单位较小。翻译单位的大小与译者感觉到的理解和表达的难度存在相关性，即难度越大，单位越小。（3）高水平受试者和低水平受试者在处理不同问题时，采用了不同的处理模式。这些模式在一定程度上反映了翻译单位认知处理的多样性和规律性。由此可以得出结论，在元认知策略中，元认知的计划和管理对翻译结果影响最大，而在翻译单位的选择方面，翻译任务越难，选择的翻译单位越小，反之亦然。由于样本人数少，所得结果只是为今后的大样本研究提供假设，本研究的研究结果在一定程度上可以丰富翻译教学理论，对改善翻译教学方法有实践意义。目前该研究方法虽已取得了一定成果，但由于它还与其他学科相互关联，对实验有关条件存在较高的要求，因而有待进一步深入和广泛研究。
[Abstract]:This paper studies the impact of metacognitive strategies on translation outcomes and the selection of translation units in the process of translation. Translation is a special cognitive activity, and its internal process can be revealed by oral report. Therefore, this paper uses the sound thinking report method to explore the internal process of translation. This paper discusses in detail the definition, development and factors affecting translation. In this paper, the process of English translation of 10 students is recorded by sound thinking method, the whole process is recorded and written. The purpose of this study is to analyze the translation strategies of different English translators and the choice of translation units in order to find out some correlations between them. Finally, through the method of questionnaire and interview, the data are analyzed comprehensively and systematically. Based on the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the empirical data, the present study draws the following conclusions: 1) in the whole translation process, high and low level subjects monitor and manage metacognitive strategies in metacognitive strategies. There is no obvious difference between the two translators; in metacognitive planning and management, The high level subjects showed more flexible overall planning and wider cognitive strategies than the low level subjects.) the high level subjects used larger translation units, while the lower level subjects used smaller translation units. There is a correlation between the size of translation units and the difficulty of understanding and expression perceived by the translator, that is, the greater the difficulty, the smaller the unit.) when dealing with different problems, the high level subjects and the low level subjects adopt different processing modes. To some extent, these models reflect the diversity and regularity of cognitive processing in translation units. It can be concluded that in metacognitive strategies, metacognitive planning and management have the greatest impact on translation results, while in the selection of translation units, the harder the translation task is, the smaller the translation unit is, and vice versa. Because of the small number of samples, the results are only hypotheses for future large sample studies. To some extent, the results of this study can enrich the translation teaching theory and have practical significance for improving translation teaching methods. Although the research method has made some achievements at present, because it is also related to other disciplines, there is a higher demand for experimental conditions, so it needs further in-depth and extensive research.
