《美国人》（第16-17章）翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本次翻译任务是由外语教学与研究出版社提供的美国作家亨利·詹姆斯的长篇小说《美国人》。笔者的翻译任务为第16章至第20章，共计2万7千余字。笔者节选第16、17章作为此次论文的翻译材料。《美国人》是亨利·詹姆斯早期的长篇小说之一，也是其国际化题材的小说之一。关于这部小说的其他译本，笔者经过查找因特网和其他方面的查找并未找到其他译本，因此翻译这部小说显得很重要。此外，，这部小说的文学价值极高，经过翻译成汉语，更多国人也能够欣赏到这部伟大的小说。这篇论文共五大部分。第一部分是任务介绍。第二部分主要介绍了翻译的过程。第三部分是具体翻译实例择析。第四部分是笔者体会到的译者需要具备的素养。最后一部分是结语部分。通过本次翻译实践，笔者体会到了译事之艰难，同时也体会到了作为一名合格的译者需要具备多方面的素质：丰富的杂学知识、严谨的工作态度以及良好的合作精神。
[Abstract]:The translation mission is a novel by American writer Henry James, provided by Foreign language Teaching and Research Press. The author's translation tasks are from Chapter 16 to Chapter 20, with a total of 27,000 words. The American is one of Henry James's early novels as well as one of his international novels. With regard to the other versions of the novel, the author looks up the Internet and other aspects and does not find any other versions, so it is very important to translate the novel. In addition, the literary value of the novel is very high, through translation into Chinese, more people can also appreciate the great novel. This paper consists of five parts. The first part is the mission introduction. The second part mainly introduces the process of translation. The third part is the selection of concrete translation examples. The fourth part is the writer's experience of the translator needs to have literacy. The last part is the conclusion. Through this translation practice, the author realizes the difficulty of translation, and at the same time realizes that as a qualified translator, he needs to have many qualities: rich miscellaneous knowledge, rigorous work attitude and good spirit of cooperation.
