[Abstract]:Based on the analysis of tool momentum lexical materials in Tianjin sign language, it is found that the hand shapes of tool quantifiers can be divided into three types: the whole hand shape, the operating hand shape and the whole object operation hand shape. Through the study of the grammatical functions of the three kinds of verb quantifiers, we find that the hand shape of the verb is not the only factor that determines the structure of the predicate, nor does it determine the structure and transitivity of the predicate. By using the non-manual characteristics of the sign speaker as an adverbial, we can test that there is a consistent relationship between the body of the sign speaker and the agent argument. This discovery allows us to further study the transitive properties of these three kinds of instrumental momentum words. At the same time, it also shows that the body of sign language operator plays an equally important grammatical role in embodying the purposive role as well as the hand shape of classifier. Previous studies of sign language momentum words have focused on the analysis of the hand shape of quantifiers. This paper proposes that the body of sign language operators in instrumental momentum words is another important form of quantifier expression in addition to the hand shape of measure words.
