目的论下美国动画音乐剧《冰雪奇缘》中的歌曲翻译研究
[Abstract]:Music has been a popular form of art since ancient times. People use music to express feelings, express ideas, tell stories, or preach legends in their respective cultures. As a kind of auditory art, songs are the product of the combination of music and language. With the development of science and technology, radio, television, CD and network-based new media give people immediate and direct access to cultural products around the world. In China, song translation began as early as the end of Qing Dynasty, and also has its existence value in modern society. However, the systematic and theoretical research on song translation is not sufficient. Since the 1990s, the Chinese version of the animated songs represented by Disney animation has appeared on the screen in China. Song translation has become an important part of Disney in animation. Due to the demand of commercialization, the song translation system must maintain a good level, and the song is closely related to the plot, which should be expressive and can not be separated from the plot of the story. These characteristics make the song translation works in this field have the characteristics of the times and research value. From the perspective of Skopos Theory, this paper will analyze and study the translation of songs in the American animation "Frozen". Skopos theory was put forward by Vermeer, a scholar of the German functional school. According to Skopos Theory, translation behavior is regarded as a cross-cultural communicative activity with a certain purpose between different cultures. Depending on the situation, sometimes the purpose of the translation may be different from that of the source text. The purpose of translation is an important factor in determining translation strategies. Therefore, in Skopos theory, the function and purpose of translation are given a very important position. It is also an indispensable link in the process of translation to determine the purpose of the translation and to choose the appropriate translation strategy according to this purpose. Accordingly, the purpose of the translation also gives the translator more freedom and responsibility. Skopos theory has three principles, namely, the principle of purpose, the principle of coherence and the principle of faithfulness. The most important of these three principles is the principle of purpose. Under the guidance of Skopos Theory, the purpose of this thesis is to study how to use the three principles of Skopos Theory as theoretical guidance for song translation and to evaluate the quality of song translation in Ice and Snow. As the primary principle of Skopos theory, the purpose principle requires song translation to be vocal and appreciative. The principle of coherence requires song translation to be smooth and meaningful in the target language environment, especially for the song translation of animated movies, whether the audience can understand the translation information immediately and effectively is a question that the translator should pay attention to. The principle of faithfulness requires that the target language version of the song and the source language song have a certain degree of relevance. As far as animated film songs are concerned, the songs are the bearers and promoters of the story, which are emotionally and contentedly related to the source language songs. The author concludes that song translation is a very characteristic translation activity, and Skopos theory can and is suitable to provide theoretical guidance for it. Under the guidance of Skopos theory, the author sums up some strategies that should be followed in the translation of progressive songs. At the same time, in the framework of Skopos Theory, this paper makes a comment on the translation of songs in Ice and Snow. These translated songs have basically realized their purpose, i.e. singing and appreciating.
