【摘要】：正北京地处宽广开阔的华北平原,其西面群山起伏,是一道护卫着京师之地的天然屏障,这帝京西面连绵起伏的山峦被统称为西山。正如乾隆皇帝曾感慨:"帝都形胜地,屏障惟西山。"[1]地理概念上的北京西山范围广阔,山水相依。西山不仅可以是广义的太行余脉和西部群山,也可以是离北京小平原最近的狭义"小西山",而且在不同的历史时期中西山的范围也有所不同和侧重。西山本是一处自然山水,自金代开始兴修园林、寺庙,

"[1] the geographical concept of the West Mountain in Beijing has a wide range of mountains and rivers dependent on each other. Xishan can not only be a generalized Taihang Yu vein and the western mountains, It can also be the narrow-sense "Xiaoxishan", which is closest to the Beijing small Plain, and the scope and emphasis of the Xishan in different historical periods are also different. Xishan, originally a natural landscape, has been building gardens and temples since the Jin Dynasty.
