论科学绘画的科学本质与艺术魅力

【摘要】:笔者参与上海自然博物馆的科学绘画项目已经接近17个月。随着对科学绘画研究工作的逐步深入,对这一课题有了一些体会和感想。 科学绘画兼具科学性与艺术性,,在博物馆、科普读物、科学知识教材、专业科学研究人员参考书籍等中均可以看见科学绘画的身影。经过这次项目的实践,笔者认识到科学绘画中所体现的科学性与艺术性并不是完全对等的,它们之间的关系取决于科学绘画的用途以及服务对象。当科学绘画用于专业类的科学书籍时,其中的科学性就要重点突出,为了表达画面的某个科学性要点,有时可以放弃一些艺术的成分。而当科学绘画用于博物馆、科普杂志等时,因服务对象大多是没有良好科学研究背景的普通大众,故而在科学性无误的前提下,可以对艺术性进行适当的升华。根据这次项目的实践,本文所讨论的重点内容将围绕着博物馆展示中的科学绘画而言,所重点讨论的服务对象也是普通群众,他们对于画面有着普遍的审美需求,要运用平面设计、色彩构成等方法使得画面更符合普通大众的审美模式,这样也便于普通观者的信息吸收,起到科学知识普及的作用。 本文通过对科学绘画的优势与作用等内容的分析、总结,再加上科学绘画项目中,笔者独立完成的70多件实践作品,从中认识到,完成一幅符合要求的科学绘画,首先应当了解科学绘画的用途与服务对象的需求,随后在理论层面去整理材料、梳理脉络,再到技术层面对画面进行平面解构、给每个创作形式一个科学依据的同时突出重点信息,还要做到“理解的绘画”。这些都是表达科学绘画的科学性和艺术性,并在其中找到平衡的关键,也只有这样才能画出一幅满足各类人群需求的科学绘画。
[Abstract]:The author has been involved in the science painting project of Shanghai Museum of Nature for nearly 17 months. With the gradual deepening of scientific painting research, there are some experiences and feelings about this subject. Scientific painting is both scientific and artistic. It can be seen in museums, popular reading materials, textbooks of scientific knowledge, reference books for professional scientific researchers and so on. Through the practice of this project, the author realizes that the scientific nature and artistry embodied in scientific painting are not completely equivalent, and the relationship between them depends on the use of scientific painting and the object of service. When scientific painting is used in professional science books, the scientific nature should be emphasized. In order to express some scientific points of the picture, some artistic elements can be abandoned sometimes. When scientific painting is used in museums, popular science magazines and so on, because the object of service is mostly ordinary people who have no good scientific research background, they can sublimate artistry properly on the premise of being scientific and correct. According to the practice of this project, the key content discussed in this paper will revolve around the scientific painting in the exhibition of the museum, and the service object will also be the ordinary people, who have a universal aesthetic demand for the picture. It is necessary to use graphic design, color composition and other methods to make the picture more in line with the aesthetic model of the general public, which is also convenient for the ordinary viewers to absorb information and play a role in popularizing scientific knowledge. Based on the analysis of the advantages and functions of scientific painting, this paper sums up more than 70 practical works which the author has independently completed in the project of scientific painting, and realizes that a scientific painting that meets the requirements is completed. First of all, we should understand the use of scientific painting and the needs of service objects. Then we should sort out the materials at the theoretical level, sort out the context, and then deconstruct the picture on a plane at the technical level. Give each creative form a scientific basis at the same time highlight key information, but also to achieve "understanding painting." These are the key points to express the scientific and artistic nature of scientific painting and find a balance among them. Only in this way can we draw a scientific painting that meets the needs of all kinds of people.
