[Abstract]:Johnannes Brahms (JohannesBrahms,1833-1897), the last influential classical composer in the history of German music, was called the "retro" of 19th century romanticism. The style of his works is thick, often with strong emotional conflicts, deeply influenced by classicism, and at the same time, he integrates the lyrical temperament of romanticism. Piano works are not only the starting point of all his creation, but also the essence of his creation. Brahms created a lot of works, including symphonies, chamber music, variations, piano music and so on. Brahms used the composition techniques of thematic variations to break through the framework of traditional keyboard vocabulary and incorporate a lot of symphonic colors. He created famous works such as "Handel theme Variations and Fugue", "Paganini theme Variations" and so on. It embodies Brahms' superb composition skill. He also innovated many traditional composition techniques to form a unique composition style. At the same time, the love of Hungarian Gypsy folk music also made his works full of national color. The late piano sketch condensed the essence of his life creation, among which Op.118 is a beautiful and rich piano sketch. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the elements and levels of the work, which will provide theoretical support for better performance of the work. The analysis of op.118 is mainly from the aspects of touch key, pedal and playing method of multi-part line.
