【摘要】:David Copperfield是十九世纪英国伟大的批判现实主义小说家查尔斯·狄更斯的代表作之一。本文基于安德烈·勒菲弗尔的三要素操控理论,以1908年林纾的译本《块肉余生述》和1980年张谷若的译本《大卫·考坡菲》为研究对象,在汉译本与原著间以及两个汉译本间进行对比,旨在探讨译入语文化中的意识形态、诗学观念和赞助人对文学译介的制约和操纵。为了对同一文学作品在相同目的语内不同译本的产生原因进行更深入的研究,本文采用定性研究法,从历时角度对比两位译者所处的不同社会和文化背景以及两个译本在意识形态、诗学观念和赞助人层面上所受到的操纵,由此证明翻译不是在真空中进行的,不同历史时期的不同意识形态、诗学观念和赞助人因素会通过影响译材的选择、涉及意识形态内容的改写、译文风格、选词、句子结构和叙事方式等语言层面的改写来影响翻译活动和译作的出版发行,并且译者对于原作的改写程度与源语和译入语的社会意识形态和诗学观念的对应程度有关。本文通过运用勒菲弗尔的操控理论来解释不同时期译者的翻译行为,将语言与文化结合起来,不仅回归到文学翻译的文化研究方向,对今后译者的翻译实践活动也具有一定的参考价值。
[Abstract]:David. Copperfield is one of the masterpieces of Charles Dickens, the great British critical realism novelist in 19th century. This paper is based on Andre Lefevere's three-element manipulation theory. Based on the translation of Lin Shu in 1908 and Zhang Gu-ruo 's on 1980, David Copperfield, a comparative study was made between the Chinese version and the original text, as well as between the two Chinese versions. The purpose of this study is to explore the constraints and manipulation of ideology, poetics and patronage on literary translation in the culture of the target language. In order to study the causes of different translations of the same literary works in the same target language, the author makes a further study of the causes of the translation. Using qualitative research, this paper compares the two translators' different social and cultural backgrounds from a diachronic point of view and the manipulation of the two versions at the level of ideology, poetics and patronage. It is proved that translation does not take place in a vacuum. In different historical periods, different ideologies, poetics and patron factors affect the choice of translation materials, including the rewriting of ideological content and the translation style. The choice of words, sentence structure, narrative style and other language levels of rewriting to affect translation activities and the publication of the translation. Moreover, the degree of rewriting of the original works is related to the corresponding degree of social ideology and poetics of the source language and the target language. This paper uses Lefevere's manipulation theory to explain the translator's translation behavior in different periods. The combination of language and culture not only returns to the cultural research direction of literary translation, but also has certain reference value for the translator's translation practice in the future.
