帕尔默文化语言学视角下的宋词英译意象传递研究

【摘要】：古典诗词是我国最重要的艺术文化遗产，是中华文明艺术发展的重要成果。宋词是中国古典文学艺术的精华之一,它蕴含着深厚的底蕴,无穷的魅力。宋词以高度集中的艺术概括，将生活中的事物与诗人特定感受融为一体，精炼、含蓄、形象，同时蕴含了丰富的意象。通过抒发词人的情感来反映社会生活与文化。宋词在中国文学艺术史上占有着举足轻重的的位置。目前，国内许多研究者从不同角度对宋词外译，特别是宋词英译，进行了较为广泛的研究，但是他们的研究较少涉及到意象传递的问题。帕尔默文化语言学理论实际上是对博厄斯派语言学，民族语义学和会话民俗学三大语言学传统的丰富与延伸，同时又结合认知语言学构成的理论构建而成的。帕尔默文化语言学理论的核心概念是意象。他认为以意象为窗口可以窥视各民族语言使用者的内心（纪玉华，2002）。所谓意象，就是客观物象，既包括眼睛所看到的视觉意象，也包括其他人体感官所获得的非视觉意象以及通过我们思维加工过的意象。语言、意象和文化是不可分割的。语言和意象表达文化的内涵，语言是意象文化的反映，意象是文化界定的意象，文化同时对语言和内涵起决定作用。这些构成了帕尔默文化语言学的主要研究内容。宋词英译的过程实际上就是文化意象传递的过程。从这个意义上说，帕尔默文化语言学理论对翻译实践应该具有非常重要的指导意义。本文以帕尔默文化语言学为理论基础，以意象传递为视角，通过对宋词英译文本的比较分析，探讨了宋词英译中的意象传递的得失，尝试验证帕氏文化语言学意象理论在宋词英译研究中应用的可行性和解释力，，进而提出宋词英译意象传递的有效策略,以期为汉语古典诗词英译提供相关借鉴和启示。
[Abstract]:Classical poetry is the most important art and cultural heritage of our country and the important achievement of the development of Chinese civilization and art.Song ci is one of the quintessence of Chinese classical literature and art.The Song ci is summarized by highly concentrated art, which combines the life with the poet's special feeling, refined, implicit, image, and contains a wealth of images at the same time.It reflects social life and culture by expressing the feelings of ci-writers.Song ci occupies an important position in the history of Chinese literature and art.At present, many domestic researchers have carried out extensive research on the translation of Song ci from different angles, especially on the translation of Song ci into English, but their research rarely involves the issue of image transmission.Palmer's theory of cultural linguistics is actually the enrichment and extension of the three linguistic traditions of Boys' School of Linguistics, National semantics and conversational folklore, while combining the theory of cognitive linguistics.The core concept of Palmer's theory of cultural linguistics is imagery.He believes that image as a window can peep into the hearts of language users of various nationalities (Ji Yu-hua, 2002).The so-called image is the objective image, which includes the visual image seen by the eye, the non-visual image obtained by other human senses and the image processed through our thinking.Language, imagery and culture are inseparable.Language and image express the connotation of culture, language is the reflection of image culture, image is the image defined by culture, culture plays a decisive role in both language and connotation.These constitute the main contents of Palmer's cultural linguistics.The process of translating Song ci into English is actually the process of cultural image transmission.In this sense, Palmer's theory of cultural linguistics should be of great significance to translation practice.Based on Palmer's cultural linguistics and from the perspective of image transmission, this paper discusses the gains and losses of image transfer in the translation of Song ci through comparative analysis of the translated texts of Song ci into English.This paper attempts to verify the feasibility and explanatory power of the application of Parsons' cultural image theory in the study of C-E translation of Song ci, and then puts forward an effective strategy of image transfer in C-E translation of Song ci, with a view to providing relevant reference and enlightenment for the English-English translation of classical Chinese poetry.
