[Abstract]:The translation practice report is based on the translation of American writer Catherine Applegate's "the unique Ivan". The protagonist of the book is Ivan, a gorilla living in a mall. He and his friends perform a variety of performances every day to attract visitors to the mall, and this life has made him forget his life in the jungle. But the appearance of his friend, the elephant Ruby, changed his view of home, friends, art, and finally Ivan, the gorilla, set Ruby free through his own efforts. Narrated in the unique perspective of a gorilla, the book is full of satirical humor, with many thought-provoking insights, including thoughts on friendship, humanity and emotion, and is read primarily by children aged 8 to 12. This report is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the significance of animal novels to the healthy growth of children and the development of animal novels in China. Through the translation practice and the analysis of examples, the author verifies the guiding significance of the reception aesthetics theory in children's literature translation. The second part is the task description, including the reasons for choosing the translation task, the author of the original text, and the author of the original text. The third part is the description of the translation process, including pre-translation preparation and translation process, in which pre-translation preparation includes making translation plans. The author introduces the guiding theory-reception aesthetics theory, and explains how to use the theory to guide the practice of translation and the formulation of glossary, which includes the choice of translation tools and the process of translation operation. The fourth part is case study. Under the guidance of the theory, the author analyzes and discusses the translation strategies, such as domestication and alienation, as well as translation methods, such as addition, ellipsis and part of speech conversion. The fifth part is the quality control of translation practice. According to the opinions and suggestions of the tutor and more than 30 children readers, the author modifies and refines the translation to meet the reading needs of the target readers. The author summarizes the experiences and experiences in the translation practice, such as the qualities of translators in translating children's literature works, and the guiding significance of aesthetics in children's literature translation. The author also points out the problems and shortcomings in translation practice because of the immaturity of the development of children's literature translation and the problems of the author's own level.
