从关联理论角度分析《酒国》文化负载词的翻译

【摘要】：斯珀波和威尔逊提出了关联理论，认为人的认识最终要达到最大关联，但人在每一次的认识达到最佳关联即可。后来威尔逊的学生哥特又把关联理论应用于翻译领域，来解释翻译这个宇宙上最复杂的现象。关联翻译理论认为翻译是一个双重明示推理过程，具有强大的解释力，能够解释很多翻译现象。很多学者发表文章著作，支持关联翻译理论具有强大的解释力的观点，但也有学者对关联理论的解释力提出质疑，认为关联翻译理论在文化因素翻译的解释上有所欠缺。 本文在关联理论的框架下研究《酒国》译文中文化负载词的翻译，证明关联理论对文化翻译同样具有强大的解释力。在分析《酒国》英译本的同时，分析译者是如何跨越文化障碍，，补偿文化空白。并且以最佳关联原则为指导，探讨分析了文中的文化词翻译是否达到了最佳关联，分析达到最佳关联采用的翻译方法以期指导未来的翻译实践。最后，笔者提出了翻译这类词语的一个普遍标准：即译者应该考虑不同的文化背景和认知环境下译文读者的认知能力，选择最易于获得最佳关联的翻译方法，从而使作者的交际意图达到译文读者的期望。本文还讨论了不同翻译方法的适用条件。
[Abstract]:Sperber and Wilson put forward the relevance theory, which holds that people's cognition should reach the maximum relevance in the end, but people can reach the best relevance in each cognition. Later Wilson's student Gothic applied relevance theory to translation to explain the most complex phenomenon in the universe. Relevance translation theory holds that translation is a double ostensive-inferential process with powerful explanatory power and can explain many translation phenomena. Many scholars have published articles to support the view that relevance translation theory has a strong explanatory power. However, some scholars have questioned the explanatory power of relevance theory, arguing that relevance translation theory is deficient in the interpretation of cultural factors. This paper studies the translation of culture-loaded words in the translation of "the Wine country" under the framework of relevance Theory, which proves that relevance Theory has the same strong explanatory power for cultural translation. At the same time, the author analyzes how the translator surmounts cultural barriers and compensates for cultural blanks. Under the guidance of the principle of best relevance, this paper analyzes whether the translation of cultural words in the text has reached the best relevance, and analyzes the translation methods used to achieve the best relevance in order to guide the translation practice in the future. Finally, the author proposes a universal criterion for translating such words: the translator should take into account the cognitive competence of the target readers in different cultural backgrounds and cognitive contexts, and choose the most easily accessible translation method. So that the author's communicative intention can meet the target readers' expectations. This paper also discusses the applicable conditions of different translation methods.
