穆旦与英国现代主义诗歌

【摘要】:在20世纪中国诗歌的发展史上,穆旦无疑是一个丰富的存在。从某种程度上说,他已成为广大诗歌爱好者、诗人和诗歌评论家无法回避的话题。首先,作为诗人,穆旦综合了“五四”以来新诗发展的成就,一直站在20世纪40年代“新诗现代化的前列”,为新诗创作留下了宝贵的经验。其次,作为翻译家,穆旦在20世纪50、60年代以诗译诗,出版了大量诗歌译作,使得后人在谈及中国译诗的杰出译者时,“名单上少不了他”。因此,不管是研究20世纪中国诗歌的发展历程,还是考察中国诗歌的翻译成就,穆旦都是无法忽视的重要作家。 经过近六十年的努力,穆旦研究在资料收集、文本细读以及翻译探讨等方面都已取得了很大的成果。评论界围绕着不同的主题对穆旦展开了深入的分析。不过就穆旦与英国现代主义诗歌的研究而言,目前的评论还亟待提高。相关的研究倾向于探讨作为一个诗歌流派的“九叶”诗人与英国现代主义诗歌之间的联系,这样既忽视了英国不同现代主义诗人之间的差异,也忽视了不同的“九叶”诗人在接受外来影响时的差异。本论文旨在运用比较文学影响研究的方法,,全面、深入地梳理穆旦与英国现代主义诗歌之间的关系,进而探索中国诗歌发展的道路。 论文第一章考察了英国现代主义诗歌的发展历程。考察的要素包括它的时间界限、主要特征及代表诗人、批评家。研究表明,英国现代主义诗歌的兴起既与世界范围内的现代主义文学运动有关,也与英国国内诗坛的现实需要相联系。在反叛19世纪浪漫主义诗歌潮流的过程中,英国现代主义诗歌逐渐形成了自己的美学立场。其主要特点表现为对城市题材的偏好、“以丑为美”的美学趣味、表现方法的创新以及国际性和地方性的结合等,而包括艾略特、理查兹等人在内的文学批评家对于它的发展也起着积极的推动作用。 在阐明英国现代主义诗歌特质的基础上,论文第二章追溯了它在中国的传播。考虑到穆旦的学习经历,这一考察主要集中在穆旦就读于西南联大这一时期(1935—1940)。考察的内容包括西南联大外国语文学系的课程设置、师生传播现代主义的实践以及穆旦参加的文学
[Abstract]:In the history of Chinese poetry in the 20 th century, Mu Dan is undoubtedly a rich existence. To some extent, he has become an unavoidable topic for poetry lovers, poets and poetry critics. First of all, as a poet, Mu Dan synthesized the achievements of the development of new poetry since the May 4th Movement, and has always been in the forefront of the modernization of new poetry in the 1940s, leaving valuable experience for the creation of new poetry. Secondly, as a translator, Mu Dan published a large number of poetry translations in the 1950s and 1960s. Therefore, whether it is to study the development of Chinese poetry in the 20th century or to study the translation of Chinese poetry, Mu Dan is an important writer who can not be ignored. After nearly 60 years' efforts, great achievements have been made in the field of data collection, text reading and translation exploration. Critics have carried out an in-depth analysis of Mu Dan around different themes. However, as far as the study of Mu Dan and English modernist poetry is concerned, the comments still need to be improved. Related studies tend to explore the relationship between the "Nine Leaf" poets as a genre of poetry and English modernist poetry, thus ignoring the differences between the different modernist poets in Britain. It also ignores the differences in the reception of external influences by different Nine-Leaf poets. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the relationship between Mu Dan and English modernist poetry by using the method of comparative literature influence study, and then to explore the way of Chinese poetry development. The first chapter examines the development of English modernist poetry. The elements of investigation include its time limit, its main characteristics and its representative poets and critics. The study shows that the rise of English modernist poetry is not only related to the modernist literary movement in the world, but also to the practical needs of the English poetic world. In the process of rebelling against the trend of romantic poetry in the 19 th century, English modernist poetry gradually formed its own aesthetic stand. Its main characteristics are the preference for urban themes, the aesthetic interest of "ugliness as beauty", the innovation of expression methods and the combination of international and local, including Eliot, Richards and other literary critics also play a positive role in its development. On the basis of expounding the characteristics of English modernist poetry, the second chapter traces its spread in China. Taking into account Mu Dan's learning experience, the study focused on the period during which Mu Dan attended the Southwest University (1935-1940). The contents of the investigation include the curriculum of the Department of Foreign languages and Literature of the Southwest University of China, the practice of spreading modernism between teachers and students, and the literature attended by Mu Dan.
