李白诗歌英译的格式塔意象再造过程研究

【摘要】：李白是唐朝最杰出的浪漫主义诗人,享“诗仙”之美誉,所赋诗歌雄浑飘逸、想象丰富、意象多变,是我国乃至世界文学典籍中的艺术瑰宝。作为相对独立的文学艺术客体,他的每首诗歌都是语言成分和美感因素的有机整体,具有不可忽略的格式塔质。 自18世纪起,国内外译者积极投身李白诗歌英译,李白诗歌的多个英译版本得以问世,为李白诗歌的英译和其艺术之美在英语世界的传播做出了贡献,但部分译文仅注重局部词义或诗行意义的对等或忠实,缺乏对原诗格式塔质的审美再现,即对原诗格式塔意象的再造。而基于文学翻译的格式塔意象再造模式,李白诗歌英译过程可视为格式塔意象再造的过程,本文对这一过程进行了研究,通过采用描述性研究和对比分析方法,对李白诗歌英译的格式塔意象再造过程的两个阶段即心理实现阶段和语言实现阶段进行阐释,旨在深入地认识格式塔意象再造过程,为李白诗歌英译实践提供指导,以消除李白诗歌英译本中重局部语意层面的对等但轻整体艺术意象再造的弊端。 本文在回顾李白诗歌英译的成就与不足、介绍格式塔意象再造理论的基础上,指出格式塔意象再造过程对李白诗歌英译过程的适用性。继而结合具体译例探究李白诗英译的格式塔意象再造过程,对格式塔意象的心理实现和语言实现做了具体阐释。在心理实现阶段,译者通过语言认知和审美体验双重活动与李白诗歌持续地相互作用,同时运用审美想象、反思或调节等心理机制,不断调整自身认知图式,建构对原诗的格式塔意象。此意象也需遵从译文图式结构,为其和谐自然的语言实现提供保障。语言实现则以心理建构的格式塔意象为基础,力求在译文词汇选择、句子和语篇连贯等方面符合格式塔意象,以再造原诗的格式塔质。这一过程可能受到来自译者、原文本等因素的影响,但通过译者与原文本间的交互作用,可使格式塔意象成功地再造。格式塔意象再造过程使译文再现李白诗歌的格式塔质,建构出美学意义上的优质译文,从而有效地传递李白诗歌艺术之美。
