【摘要】：改革开放30多年来,中国的文学翻译主要集中在“带回来”,即把外国作品翻译成中文,而把中国作品翻译成外文,“带出去”的作品却寥寥无几,翻译是一道厚墙。2012年,莫言获得诺贝尔文学奖不仅给中国文学带来前所未有的信心,也拉近了中国文学与世界各国读者之间的距离。作为深谙中华文化的翻译家,葛浩文指出,从表面看来,翻译过程面临的是不同语言之间的差异性,其本质是不同民族、不同国家之间的文化差异性。从译语中找到合适的词来充分表达原意是个问题,而译作的理解和认可也是个问题。两个问题反映了葛浩文的翻译观,问题一的产生是由于译者忠实于原文,为给读者尽可能的呈现原汁原味的作品。问题二的解决就是不完全拘泥于原文,求变、求易,进行“重构”,使译语作品更容易被读者理解和接受。这就需要充分发挥译者的主观能动性。作为翻译的主体,应给予译者的主体性地位认可。译者身份、个人经历、翻译策略的使用以及所要达到的翻译效果都应得到充分的重视。阐释学,经历施莱尔马赫、伽达默尔、斯坦纳等人的发展,成为盛行于世的翻译学派。阐释翻译学就翻译的主体性、翻译理解和诠释提供了新的视野。本文以《生死疲劳》英译版作为研究对象,从阐释翻译学的视角出发,分析译者葛浩文在翻译过程中主体性的发挥。葛浩文译文的成功值得我们深思。读者喜爱什么作品,译者如何达到翻译效果,译者主体性如何得以充分发挥。本文以期为中国优秀文学作品的翻译提供新的视角和启迪。
