【摘要】：随着翻译研究学科“文化转向”的进一步深入发展，翻译研究的范围不断扩展，逐渐打破了其原有的概念框架。翻译研究越来越显示出其跨学科和跨文化的特点。临近学科的相关领域不断地与翻译研究相结合，产生新的研究视角和方向。近期出现的翻译社会学概念迅速吸引了翻译研究者的兴趣和关注。从社会学的视角看翻译问题，特别是从皮埃尔·布迪厄的社会学理论看翻译问题逐渐成为翻译研究中的一大热点。布迪厄的社会学理论为翻译学研究提供了独特的学术研究架构，为翻译研究的发展增添了新的思考范畴。 许渊冲是中国现代翻译界最有影响的学者之一。作为一名译者，许渊冲从事翻译六十余年，中英法译著多达六十余本。作为传播中华文化的积极践行者，他成功将中国古典作品翻译到西方国家，赢得了许多好评。此外，许渊冲还是一名颇有建树的翻译理论家。他在前人理论和自身翻译实践的基础上提出了一系列翻译主张，对中国翻译理论建设作出了重要贡献。 本文作者以许渊冲诗歌翻译思想和中诗英译实践为研究对象，运用布迪厄的社会学理论探讨许渊冲翻译思想与实践背后的的社会驱动因素。作者从布迪厄理论中的三个主要概念入手对许渊冲的诗歌翻译思想进行系统分析，探究影响其思想形成和传播的各种社会因素。研究表明，许渊冲的翻译思想是在多种社会因素的驱动和影响之下形成的，正如布迪厄所言，译者凭借一定的资格进入特定场域后，就会逐渐形成一定的思维和行为定势，这些思维定势潜移默化地影响他们的思想和行为。他们在特定场域中相互竞争，以获取最大利益或资源来提升自身在场域中的地位。许渊冲也不例外。在本文中，作者还从“场域”，“惯习”和“文化资本”角度分析了许渊冲诗歌翻译实践的选材偏好、翻译策略采用的特点以及诗歌翻译的接收情况。从以上分析可以看出，许渊冲中诗英译的翻译活动深受诸如权力场域、场域结构、许渊冲在场域中所处的位置、他的人际关系、已形成的惯习、自身拥有的文化资本等主客观因素的影响。
