美国诗歌语境中的Burton Watson中国古诗英译

【摘要】：美国汉学家Burton Watson同时也是一位成就斐然的中国古典诗歌译者,他的译文语言明白晓畅、诗歌意境悠远,在学界与普通读者中均有较高的评价。本文尝试考察与Watson翻译活动密切相关的美国当代诗歌写作传统,尤其关注后者对前者翻译行为的具体影响,从一个新的角度对Watson译作的成功做出深入阐述,并由此建议在对外译介中国文学时,有必要将译入语国家诗学状况、文学传统等重要因素纳入考察范围。
[Abstract]:Burton Watson, an American sinologist, is also a successful translator of Chinese classical poetry. His translation language is clear and his artistic conception is far away.This paper attempts to examine the American tradition of contemporary poetry writing, which is closely related to the translation activities of Watson, paying particular attention to the specific influence of the latter on the translation behavior of the former, and to make an in-depth exposition of the success of Watson's translation from a new perspective.Therefore, it is necessary to include important factors such as poetics, literary tradition and other important factors in the translation and introduction of Chinese literature.
