变异学视角下《玉米》中乡土语言英译研究

较西方国家而言,中国有着历史悠久的农耕社会文化,依附农业生产自然形成了丰富的乡土语言体系。乡土语言作为特定民族文化的载体,是中国文化不可或缺的组成部分,具有传递中国特色文化的作用。而在中国文化走向世界的进程中,不同文化的交流仍需翻译搭建沟通之桥,其作用不可小觑。曹顺庆教授提出的比较文学变异学通过研究不同国家之间文学现象交流的变异状态总结出文学变异现象的内在规律。这一理论能够很好地介绍目前中国文学和文化走出去过程中因为翻译而出现的诸如语言、文化甚至文学自身等一系列的变异问题,为翻译研究提供了一个切实的新视角。《玉米》是苏籍著名作家毕飞宇的重要作品之一,曾获英仕曼亚洲文学奖。这部作品集中体现了毕飞宇的个人风格,同时也由于含有大量极具江苏泰州特色的乡土语言,而大大增加了翻译的难度,在译语文化中也必然增加文本的异质性。因此,本文选取葛浩文英译毕飞宇小说《玉米》为研究对象,以比较文学变异学为理论框架,采用周领顺对乡土语言的分类模式,并结合具体的文本,将《玉米》中的乡土语言分为八类,即骂语、政治文化词、谚语、方言、名字、惯用语、称谓、成语。而后从变异学三个层面:跨语言变异,文学文本变异和跨文化变异...
