《回归：父亲、儿子和故土》（节选）翻译实践报告

　　本文是基于利比亚籍作家希沙姆·马塔尔（Hisham Matar）的回忆录《回归:父亲、儿子和故土》（The Return:Fathers,Sons and the Land in Between）前五个章节撰写而成的英译汉翻译实践报告。希沙姆·马塔尔的自传体回忆录《回归:父亲、儿子和故土》荣获2017年普利策传记或自传奖,且被《纽约时报》评为“2016年度十佳书籍”。此书是希沙姆·马塔尔对探寻父亲失踪真相的过程的回忆。父亲贾巴拉·马塔尔曾公开批评穆阿迈尔·卡扎菲的独裁统治。1990年,正处于流放状态的贾巴拉·马塔尔遭到绑架,并被移交给利比亚政府,此后音讯全无。2012年春,希沙姆·马塔尔回到利比亚首都的黎波里,欲探寻父亲失踪的原因以及背后的真相。希沙姆·马塔尔希望通过此作品表达他对战争和独裁统治的反思,对原生国家的爱、恨、思念和关切之情。此次翻译任务的目的在于通过翻译《回归:父亲、儿子和故土》这部作品,让更多中国读者从真实的角度了解利比亚以及阿拉伯国家的文化和历史,也能为研究阿拉伯文化的学者提供一定的资料参考。此次翻译任务是在生态翻译学理论的指导下完成的。清华大学教授胡庚申于2001年...
