阐释学运作理论视域下《三体》文化负载词的英译研究

近年来,中国科幻小说正在不断发展,深受广大读者的喜爱。但是科幻小说的汉英翻译具有一定的挑战性,因此中国科幻小说所占据的国外的市场还十分有限。科幻小说《三体》的故事发生在中国文化大革命时期,小说中含有大量中国特色的历史、文化、宗教等元素。所以对于译者而言,这些无疑都是翻译过程中不可避免的难点和挑战。因此,《三体》作为一部在世界各国广受欢迎的英译中国科幻小说,它在翻译领域具有很大的研究价值。作者从阐释学运作理论角度出发,分析了译者刘宇昆在翻译《三体》中国文化负载词时所采用的翻译策略。由乔治·斯坦纳提出的阐释学运作理论认为翻译的过程就是语言的产生和理解过程,反之亦然。此外,阐释学运作理论构成了阐释学翻译理论的重要内容,该理论将译者的翻译活动分成了四步:信赖,侵入,吸收和补偿。这为探究《三体》小说的翻译过程以及分析译者运用的翻译策略提供了一定的理论依据。在《三体》文化负载词的翻译过程中,译者翻译策略的选择主要受以下四个因素的影响:首先是由译者对文本的信赖和译者的翻译目的,即译者认为《三体》的翻译很有意义且具有一定的价值,他希望在保证英文版小说《三体》的商业价值的同时,帮助中国文化走出国门。其二...
