语言象似性视域下的儿童文学作品英译研究

在中国文化“走出去”这一新的时代背景下,中国优秀儿童文学作品的对外推广与传播应该受到重视。然而,就中国文学作品的外译而言,“走出去”多为成人文学作品,儿童文学作品尚处于边缘状态。这种现象的存在,既有学界认识上的不足,也有儿童文学作品外译工作本身的挑战。儿童文学翻译作品的阅读主体是儿童,而从事儿童文学作品翻译的译者是成人,这种不对称构成了儿童文学作品翻译质量的现实挑战。大凡谈及儿童文学作品翻译,人们自然都会提到“译者要贴近儿童的认知水平”这一质量标准。在翻译实践中,贴近儿童的认知水平体现为译文充分关照儿童的认知水平。语言认知研究表明,人类语言与现实具有相似性关系;翻译的实质是“源语表达的意义在译语中再现”。这意味着儿童作品翻译贴近儿童认知水平的关键在于译文再现原文与现实之间相似性关系。本研究以认知语言学的象似性理论为框架,以儿童作品的英译本为主要研究对象,探讨中国优秀儿童文学作品的翻译原则与方法。在对相关研究文献回顾和总结的基础上,我们讨论了象似性理论对于儿童文学作品英译的启示,提出了出象似性理论视域下的儿童文学英译原则,即译者要有象似性意识,要深入探究原文语言形式背后的深层认知动因,并...
